St Louis Park Rec Center

Great rinks, 2 indoor and 1 outdoor (weather permitting). The outdoor rink is under a roof so it stays nice and smooth; they even Zamboni the outdoor rink! There is a great meeting room upstairs, plenty of seating in the hockey arenas, pickleball courts nearby, and a great waterpark in the summer! Would definitely recommend for open skate!

This review is for the ice arena features. Basics: three sheets of ice, two indoor, one outdoor but covered, ample seating at all three rinks.The big deal here, and this feature sets this arena apart from most others, is a refrigerated OUTDOOR ice rink, with seating area for fans. There is a large roof. No sides it is a beautiful rink. Lights allow for play in the night. Fresh air, ample seating, quality ice. What more could you ask for? I'm sure other can correct me, but the only other arena I know of in MN with two indoor ice rinks and a covered outdoor rink is the fantastic ice arena in Grand Rapids, MN. The two primary indoor arenas are fine. Reliable. Lots of seating. Some visibility from windows inside the heated hallway (hallway to other features in this pretty large recreational facility).Large parking lot.

This review is for both the indoor portions of the rec center (ice rinks) and the outdoor portion (aquatic center).Let's start from the outside in - FREE ELECTRIC CAR PARKING!!! Who-hoo, thanks city of SLP! Also, plenty of parking spaces in the parking lot!Let's go inside! - The space is clean and well laid out. There is always staff on hand to help you with where to go, where to pay, etc. The skate shop allows ice skate rentals and the rinks are good quality.Now - back outside to the Aquatic center! This is really the star of the show, its a great zero entry pool with plenty of space for little kids, as well as some fun slides for bigger kids. Additionally they have a fun sand box/play area for kids.

I really enjoy multiple aspects of this complex. The ROC is a great open space that is used in winter and summer. The aquatic area is large with a great sand pit for the littles who can't or don't want to play in the water. They also have the pool sectioned in such a way making it accessible to all ages, there are tube slides and lap swim. Give it a try!

I attended my friends granddaughters 1st birthday party at the Park Rec Center in St. Louis Park. It was my first time visiting the location.Ambiance: Appeared new, very clean and organized. There was a running board that informed patrons of what was taking place (i believe for the day, but it may have been for the wknd-unsure.) Service: What made me write the review is the young lady at the desk. She was so pleasant and helpful. I couldn't eat the birthday party food (keto diet and 5 lbs down since 3/19) and brought my own food. I went to see if there was a microwave that I could use to warm up my food. There wasn't a public one. She didn't even mention that and stated that she would warm it up for me, by using the one in the back with her. She met me in the hallway with my food, complimented its smell and asked what it was. We spoke about the diet i was on and that was it. She was just a very pleasant person and I thought it would be nice to let the St. Louis Park Rec Center know. Good service goes a long way!Too bad I didn't get her name :-/

Great place to take the kids in the summer. A friend told me about this place awhile ago, but forgot about until now. Another friend lives not too far from here and the location was excellent for staying close by.We got there about 10am and arrived early enough for Toddler hour. Nobody but toddlers and guardians until 11 am which is nice. Nice little slides, dump buckets, geysers, waterslides etc. The pool is really nice.Plenty of lounge chairs.Concessions and fairly cheap and reasonably priced. Pizza, hot dogs, your typical concession food. Eating areaSand areaShowersLocker roomsAdmission is decent.Really nice rec center with hockey rinks, pool, free movies in the park. Wish we lived closer.

Nice clean pool with fun for all ages. Was a little disappointed to hear multiple staff swearing by the concessions. Not sure I would return.

Love playing hockey here. Good solid ice that is taken care of with plenty of room in the locker rooms to get changed in. Lots of parking outside.

All of the staff were rude! They cussed and my children heard it. Now they are saying cuss words every single second. This place sucks. Don't go
