St. Louis Park American Legion Post 282

I stopped by with a friend for a drink after work one day, it is easy and simple. Clean good place for a drink. Nothing fancy just the basics

The old location was good but this new one is great! It's still relaxed and dive-y, but now you don't feel like you're trapped in a church basement. They even have windows! This is also much closer to Park Tavern and now The Block if you want to hop around a bit. I'd completely forgotten about this new location until we came out of Sota Clothing and were looking for a bite to eat. I remember steak night being popular at the old location so I had some confidence in the food already. By recommendation of our lovely waitress we went with the MacDaddy burger. It was soo good. I was hesitant of the sweet pickles - I normally HATE sweet pickles. They are a bit sweet with a kind of Christmas spice to it, like cinnamon or nutmeg. I went with it and left the pickles on the burger. They really do add just be right amount of snap to contrast the creamy 282 sauce. The bun is also nicely toasted and has an almost crisp texture where it meets the burger. This burger definitely rivals some of the others in The Cities. Wash it down with a $3 happy hour beer, and it can't be beat.They also have something going on almost every night of the week. And at a reasonable hour, where I don't feel like I have to ruin my bed time to participate. No, I'm not 80... I just like to be well rested. We were there on a Sunday and they were having Texas Hold'em tournament. Free to play and you can win a $50 gift card. Dropped in here for some cheap food and drink. For the price and entertainment , this American legion does not disappoint. Popcorn and peanuts available while you enjoy your drinks. Great happy hour specials and different evening events, including karaoke. Food was solid and hit the spot. Highly recommended!

Ok this place was the best surprise! We live down the road but hadn't been to the location until Friday! Lots of parking available which was nice. Nice new building, clean bathrooms, big bar, lots of seating! The biggest SHOCKER was the burger!!!!! I had the breakfast burger with a nicely cooked still pink patty, hash browns, cheese and a runny egg on a delicious nice bun!! Best part it was like $8! I would say just as good as red cow but for 1/2 the price. Also the chips are homemade!!! 5/5.We went on a Friday at 5 to do the meat raffle and it was PACKED!!! Everyone walk of life, young , old, families, girls night out ... we saw it all!

This place is always a good time I'm glad they re-opened in a new location! Full of regulars and locals you are sure to make some good friends if you frequent the place. They have bingo, karaoke, pull tabs, plenty of TVs for whichever game you are looking to watch. Heggie's pizza is always a plus as well! If you want to watch a game, gamble a little, or sing some songs, be sure to check out the Legion.

This place is kind of a hidden gem in St. Louis Park, I've lived nearby for a number of years and first visited last week. Their prices are so reasonable, plus Yelp cash back! Our burgers were really good and the service was great. Everything was really clean and it looks like they have some nice happy hour/food specials during the week as well. The chips that came with the burgers were also delicious. I will be back for sure!

Awesome dive bar. I went on a Tuesday night to grab a couple drinks and watch the wild game. It was not super busy but there was clearly quite a few regulars. They have a decent amount of space and I see that they do bingo and meat raffles which is awesome. The drinks were cheap and very strong which I always appreciate. They have a couple dart boards and a lord of the rings pinball machine. I'm very excited to go back on a Friday or Saturday night when it's poppin. Places like this are rapidly disappearing and we must enjoy them while they're still around. The bartender and everyone else was very friendly. They have complimentary popcorn which is nice and salty and a great way to soak up your drink. I highly recommend checking out this place to start or end a night!

In my 9 years of restaurant experience - I have never experienced such disrespectful service. I get it - it's bingo night but you have the same tables for 2-3 hours then you clean up and go home. In my experience, you don't make a table wait 5 minutes for a cocktail then ring it in incorrectly. Let alone when I ask for an extra chair, you don't tell me "that's your own problem". As a customer, with guests who go to this bar on a weekly basis, this was disappointing. Merry Christmas.

Great spot for pull-tabs, video poker, hamburgers and Thursday night prime rib dinner $14.99 and bingo on Saturdays!

Oh boy.That was as sad performance of the kitchen.We had a waffle with strawberries. It was cold, and like leather. We are not what the source was, but surely not strawberries.Than we had egg Benedict. Just as horrible. The cheese was like a yellow liquid of who knows what.Please avoid !
