We frequently visit the Stone Arch Bridge and St. Anthony Main. We love the city scape, cobblestones and proximity to the river. Also, there are many bars and restaurants along this historic street. It was a pleasant surprise that we saw a wedding being set up during a lazy Saturday. We invited ourselves in and the wedding coordinator showed us around the place. It was the best place to host our urban wedding. The main floor is surrounded by brick walls and a large window showcased the street outside. There is a patio which seats about 32 people. A great place to cool down after dancing. It was a stone throw away from our wedding ceremony, which was across the street at Water Power Park. One of the best parts about having a wedding here is that there are so many beautiful places that can serve as a backdrop to your wedding photos! We had pictures taken across the river at Mill City and the Guthrie. We also had photos taken at a neglected lot near the flour mill in St Anthony Main. (Our photographer was great, that's another review!!)You can't bring your own caterer. This venue is operated by 3 Sons Signature Catering and they were great! (See review)

The place is pretty much a dump, if you ask me. Some friends of ours got married here recently and we weren't at all impressed with the venue. The lighting is really poor, and everything is very dark and outdated. St. Anthony Main is such a charming & historic area, so this fell far short of our expectations. The bathroom situation was horrible for a wedding that had 150+ guests--the wedding dance was on the main level, but the only bathrooms were on the top level, and there were only 3 stalls. And I'm not sure who catered the event, but the food and the way in which it was presented left much to be desired. There was a mashed potato bar--a great idea, in theory, but the way in which it was set up (on a round table, versus a long rectangular one) was really dumb, because there was no clear cut "line" for people to get into in order to serve themselves. Rather, you had to sort of try to "merge" like in one of those traffic roundabouts (and you know pretty much no one knows how to use those effectively). The other hors d'oeuvres were brought around the room by servers, but that was awkward as well because the server would approach one of the round tables (which sat 8-10 guests), ask one side of the table if they wanted to try whatever it was (meatballs, some horribly salty butternut squash soup in a tiny plastic cup the size of a cough medicine dispenser, etc.), and then keep going onto the next table, totally ignoring everyone else on the other side.Lastly, there is a basement level that the wedding party was supposed to use to get ready in before the wedding. It wasn't until the night of the rehearsal, two nights before the actual wedding, that the event centre staff informed them that the basement had flooded a month prior, so it wasn't available for use. They offered up two bottles of champagne for compensation. Seriously?! How about like $500 off the cost of renting the place?? The wedding party ended up having to get dressed in a storage closet. I wouldn't dream of booking this venue for my wedding!

Recently attended a wedding reception here and beware they have some major air conditioning issues. The entire place was extremely hot. It was uncomfortable for everyone but especially the elderly. Cannot recommend booking this venue at least during the warm months.

St. Anthony Main Event Centre fit all our needs for our wedding reception of about 135 guests. Prior to choosing this venue, I toured about 5 other locations in the Minneapolis area. St. Anthony & Three Sons Signature Catering as a standout from the start. We initially met with Carrie who was super detail-oriented, but not pushy. She gave us a tour of the space and answered multiple questions. After committing to the site, we were set up with Marguerite who led the rest of our planning process. I believe we met in person about 3 or 4 times and I was able to call or email with any concerns at anytime, usually hearing back in about 2 business days. Organized, efficient and a beautiful space!! Marguerite was honest with me when dinner was running behind, but it was no big deal. The food was worth the wait - Chef Ben created some amazing dishes and they were just as good at the reception as they were during our initial tasting. Guests liked being downstairs for cocktail hour, moving upstairs for dinner & then coming back down for the dance -- super nice not to be tied to just one room for the entire night. Definitely look into this space if you're planning an event!

Be careful if you plan on having a wedding/event here in the summer. The HVAC system does not do an adequate job keeping this space cool. The wedding party and guests were sweating during the ceremony and reception. The wedding guests kept sneaking over to Tuggs (bar next door) to cool off. It's a nice venue as long as the temperature is below 70 degrees.

Recently went to a fund raising event here. The space is nice both up and down but the food was the worst I have ever had at a banqueted event. Would never recommend or use the caterer at this event center, 3 Sons I believe.
