Smilin' Moose Lodge Bar And Grill

This is a good place for a quick appetizer or drinks with friends. The place is large with bar seating and high top tables being the primary seating options. The decorations are very cabin inspired with the wood theme. A gal friend and I stopped in and tried their appetizer sampler with a couple of cocktails. Service was as expected, fine, nothing to highlight but no real complaints besides the lack of check-ins throughout our time. The cocktails were poured well and proved very average for a bad. They had a long list of craft cocktails available but most appeared to be liquor, syrup, or soda based mainly with a lack of fresh or creative ingredients. The appetizer sampler was pretty good overall with the highlight being the candied bacon - so good! The rest of the options were strongly okay, nothing we'd run back to get but a very fun variety of snacks to eat through as we chatted. I would come back here if a friend suggested it but not necessarily a must-try. Definitely would reorder the bacon though!

We had a great time eating outside & enjoying the weather on the patio overlooking the river. This is my first time visiting family in Hudson and I love this little town already. The patio tables are cute with moose prints and new looking umbrellas. Service was beyond excellent and the food came out fast, fresh, hot,and cooked to order. My niece and her husband have dined here several times and I will definitely come back next time I visit!

Delightful time- Great service and great food! I got the ribs & macaroni and it was SUPER! Our pup enjoyed her doggo's delight. Would highly recommend this place!

Came here for drinks. Loved the Snorkeling Moose cocktail because I love Blue Curacao. Prices are decent. It can get pretty busy on a weekend night.Service was great. We sat at the bar.

The food for the most part was good. Walleye sandwich had several bones which was unfortunate. Never got a refill on water. Nice atmosphere! Mac n cheese served in cast iron skillet which was nice and kept warm. Burger was good flavor and filling.

The Smilin' Moose offers great food and drinks at reasonable prices. We had an appetizer of queso & dip. For entrees we went with a stuffed burger and french fries, steakhouse wrap with tater tots and pot roast dip sandwich with teriyaki green beans. The only complaint was about the burger, as it didn't stay sealed so the cheese and juices ran out which left it on the dry side. Everything else tasted wonderful and the portions were plentiful.Our only gripes were we went here to try the chicken & ribs, cranberry brie sandwich, and/or chicken & pork belly poblano pasta, only to find out that during the weekend you can only get them for dinner, aaaand our waitress never came back to offer refills or water.

I'm a Packers fan who was in Minnesota for a wedding and was excited to be able to make a quick trip (my first) to Wisconsin. We found this place after a walk along the lake and really enjoyed being able to have lunch on the deck. It was my first time trying cheese curds and I really enjoyed them. They reminded me of a mozzarella sticks but I think they were white cheddar cheese and not as much breading/grease as mozzarella sticks. The candied bacon is also a must try and was the perfect combo of sweet and salty without being too fatty.Side salad was solid as well and the bourbon bacon burger was very tasty and filling. Too bad they were out of the stuffed burger or I'd have tried that.Service was really friendly and I'd come back here if I'm ever in Hudson, Wisconsin again.

When in the area for a friend's birthday, we arrived early and were greeted promptly by staff and they set us up downstairs with a table large enough for our group. We had been here a handful of times before and they are always consistent and truly great! The vibe is woodsy, outdoors, lodging like. The prices are reasonable and the crowd it brings is a mixture of families, boaters, and friends! I appreciate their dog friendliness as well. It gets busy for sure depending on the season/day/time. Must visit if in the area - make a day out of it and visit the local shops and do a hike nearby!

Food was GREAT!! We were seated right away. Our server was a little spacey but over all did a good job. Atmosphere was young adults. We will be back.
