Skatin Place

We choose the Skatin place for a birthday party for my daughter and though the place shows it's age and the decor is very 90s they do birthday parties well. A host helps you the entire night and the person who helped us was very kind and helpful. Popcorn and pop refills the entire time plus admission, skate rentals, pizza, tokens and laser tag... all in all everyone had a great time.

It's been ages since I went roller skating or roller blading and this is definitely a fun activity to do especially adult night on Thursday from 8pm to 10pm. Great variety of music brings you back to the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. Decent prices and the staff were really friendly and helpful. There are lockers to rent, arcade games, food and drinks. Bring some friends over for a fun night out!

It's been ages since I've been back to The Skatin' Place. When I was a kid, we would go there for end of the year parties and it's great for birthday parties too. The decor and atmosphere is still the same from the 90s but they've updated the space a little bit with a separate game room, laser tags, bounce houses and more room for private parties. Anne was our staff person that my sister was working with for her sons's birthday party. She was very helpful and was very prompt with our needs! Mind you she's probably in her third trimester but she's all over the place and did not miss a beat with all the party guests! Pricing was reasonable but I didn't like it that there's a charge for the skate mate which helps a beginner to skate with walkers on the rink. It should just be that when you bring back the walker, you get your full money back! The food was ok. I like that they have real ice cream instead of the soft serves but the cones tasted a little stale. The game room didn't have a lot of games that kids under five could play.

The place: Yes, Skatin' Place shows its age. Yes, that might be held against it. But much like bowling alleys, Skatin' Place is one of those joints where a cross section of ages and backgrounds gather.The biggest feature is, of course, the rink. Your standard roller rink--smooth floors, lots of people, fancy lights. Around the rink, you've got some moderate amounts of seating for lacing up your skates or taking a breather. Gotta say, not a whole lot of seating, but you get creative. There's a fast food line which seems specially accommodating for skaters. The pizza on Friday night was surprisingly good! The location: Easy enough to find if you're looking for it. But also easy to miss. There's plenty of parking, but make sure you're looking for the sign. Tips:Friday night they have a deal where it's $16 for skates, rink time, and unlimited pizza and pop. My friends, for those of you with children or a yen to relive your middle school days, that is a FANTASTIC deal.

There's something really sad about roller rinks--those remnants of bygone days--and this is one of the sadder ones. But hey, there's also something kinda nostalgic about skating next to the old guy with the mullet in the too tight pants as he whips across the floor, pretending it's 1979.It's pretty empty, and it has a small arcade center and smaller cafeteria, so it's got something for every sad throwback.For an evening, I could think of worse ways to fill my time.

Okay. 1. The young blonde DJ is amazingly nice. He made my night by playing a song for me and my friends and God was it fun. I've been going to the rink ever since I was 5, and grew up with it. And it's insane because the workers I grew up with still work there, so in a way I find this place as a second home. I think the skate n place is the most amazing place to be. I love meeting people and skating with friends. I am so glad to have this place exist! The staff are amazing and so helpful, and very social! The pizza is . Everything is just amazing there. Laser tag is so fun! It's such a nice addition to the rink! And it's honestly priced perfectly. I normally go Friday night's with my brother and I and dude, it's only 32 bucks for all the stuff that comes with it. I'm so happy and glad to have the opportunity to go to the rink too. Thanks for being amazing! (Also about the DJ he is like sjejejsj amazing he made my night)

The skatin place is so much fun! Jeff is awesome, super helpful!

Very hostile environment. I took a group of kids here to have fun and they were treated with disrespect. No one greeted us or talked to us.
