We were able to be seated immediately. The restaurant was decorated in a festive way. Food was generous, hot and delicious! Service was quick and congenial.

Comfort food, at a reasonable price. Good service, and oh boy, are the portions big enough so that you never leave hungry.I had the everything omelette. Everything indeed. It must've weighed 4 pounds. Probably this was four times as much food as I needed, but I managed to eat it all. Good toast, too.If you are hungry, and you want to eat, and also hang out, this is a great place to do it.

What a lovely spot tucked away in St Paul! I came with a friend who had heard about it from his circle, and it was such a great choice. They told me this place has been here for 27 years!! I can definitely see why.Service was super prompt and the staff is all so friendly. They gave great recommendations and I knew I had to try the Country Style Eggs Benedict. I'm a big eggs Benny girl and I love biscuits and gravy - this combined both of those iconic dishes! I said I was going to take a picture to share here, but I swear the second it hit the table I started eating right away because it looked so good (LOL). The taste was 10/10 - a great mom and pop type place. Loved it, and would definitely come back when I'm in the area!!

Great breakfast diner. Friendly, fast, and good at a fair price. My husband eats well (and stays trim), and his portions have never disappointed.

Cozy atmosphere, quick and friendly service.Steak was overcooked (requested medium rare and can't out well done). French toast was made with cinnamon swirl Texas toast- quite the yummy treat!Biscuits and gravy were very flavorful, plenty of sausage and the buttered, grilled biscuits were quite tasty.

This place wasn't bad at all. You can tell it's a neighborhood/locals Cafe since they knew most of the people coming in. The only thing bad about that is that their regulars will get the better treatment in service then you will which doesn't seem right. Like they'll get, faster service, not rushed, and bill after they have finished vs you'll get yours after you just took a bite which I've noticed. Now on to my breakfast. It was tasty I'll tell ya. Portion was average , but my steak which i was surprised was cooked perfectly to my liking, which was medium rare. Most places I've been to tend to cook it a little longer than I like so that was nice. If I had a choice to come here or not again would only be if I was in the neighborhood. But also I only have tried one thing on the menu sooooo.... lol

First time visit. I had seen some positive reviews and thought we would check it out on our way home from Woodbury. In my opinion is not the type of place you would recommend and would go out of your way to visit. Everything from service the ambience to quality the food was just slightly above average.If it existed in my neighborhood, I would probably make it a regular stop. But not worth extra effort to get there.

Great lil gem..I felt like I was transported up North for breakfast. Friendly and welcoming, omelettes and has browns made how they should be. Piping hot golden browns and skinny omelette filled to the brim we with ham and american cheese. The cinnamon swirl toast could have been warmer and with butter. Go early, gets busy! We will be back.

Stopped in today after five years. Same friendly staff and good food. My wife and I split the Eggs Benedict and enjoyed every bite. Great place that's been there almost thirty years.

The baker at Shar'els was keeping these bad boys on the top shelf. They were hard to find in the desert case. It's the 1st time they had made them! I don't have a cardiologist so I'm going to enjoy them. Caramel apple turnovers.
