Shafer Saloon Bar & Grill

We ate here for the first time on a Friday night. While the bar and restaurant were clean, and the food was very good, the service absolutely sucked. I don't know who if anyone was managing but whomever it was wasn't doing their job. We joined our friends for dinner there. We sat down, and no kidding, after 15 minutes of not even acknowledging our presence we had to ASK to put in a drink order!! I mean the place wasn't busy at all, and there's no way they didn't see us. It took another 10 minutes for them to take our food order, and then after 30 minutes, and watching others who came in after us getting their food, we asked about ours...they forgot to put our food order in and blamed it on the printer in the kitchen. If it was the printer then why did others get their food?!? So they lied on top of it. Then the four people who ordered burgers got their meals, but they forgot me because I ordered a bacon chicken ranch wrap. When they brought my wrap after I had to ask for it, there was NO CHICKEN in the wrap! I was so hungry I ate it anyway. But really?!? Where was the manager? More importantly where was the owner?!? Neither one gave a damn about us! We won't be back. Even if the food is good, and the place is clean, awful service ruins the entire experience. BTW - we tipped our server well anyway...

i come into town at least twice a year, (i live in Nashville TN) and i'll never stop coming back! im ALWAYS,beyond impressed with the food here, the environment, and most importantly the kind and easy going service. that new owner really knows how to bring some incredible food to her menu and she's the sweetest!

Visited this saloon for the first time with friends. We had six at our table, sat there for 15 minutes before my wife walked up to the bar to see if we can get some service for drinks to start with and staff finally came over. About a half hour later we had to flag down the waitress so we can order. Waited a little over a half hour or so later and had to ask the waitress to check on our order do to people who came in after us got their food before us. Needless to say our order ticket never printed out says the waitress "Really", we finally got our food about an hour or so later. The food was good but we are one and done, we got a 10% off our bill, whippy do !!So don't waste your time going there.

Their specialty Cowboy Bites were amazing! Great service and environment, would most definitely recommend!

Stopped in for breakfast today, as was told that they only had a buttet.$15.99 for Adults (no senior discount)$9.99 for children.nothing special on the buffet, did not stay. Their breakfast have been good, don't know if I would try it on a Saturday.

Delicious homemade food and GREAT service! Reasonable prices. Clean and love the menu choices!

Stopped in for a drink on Saturday night. Place was almost empty and the dj was BLARING really bad music. Maybe play more to the crowd and not a 1999 wedding. The bartender was nice.
