Saturday Dumpling Co is so hot right now! This cute little eatery in NE Minneapolis was packed for lunch when we went, and for good reason. The dumplings here are delicious! I really appreciate the dumpling flavors are all really unique for Minneapolis; it's hard to find anything that tastes like this at other restaurants that sell dumplings in the area. I especially appreciate the sauces; all of the ones we tried were really good, and reminded me of time I've spent in Xi'an and Chengdu. There's also a collab sauce with Diane's (which might be the best one here). The dumplings themselves are great too; the wrapping is perfect, and the filling is also quite yummy. Also, be sure to get the cumin fries; cumin is one of my favorite flavors, and these really hit the spot. I also have to really hand it to the staff; both of the people we had interactions with went out of their way to answer questions and just provide great customer service in general. I did almost take off a star for two reasons: the first is that I really think they should incorporate "DF" (Dairy-Free) symbology in their menu, especially because they already have soy-free, gluten-free, sesame-free, vegetarian, and vegan on there. There's a lot of us out here with issues with dairy, so hopefully they add that in. That said, about half their menu is dairy-free. Secondly, I do think the portion sizes could be a bit bigger (and maybe the prices are a touch high for the current sizes). We each had a dumpling plate, and also shared a cumin fries, and it wasn't quite enough food. We didn't want to order a whole other plate of dumplings, so it's too bad they don't have an 8-dumpling option, which I think would be a much better size.Still, even with the two critiques, this place deserves five-stars, especially because of the unique flavors and the awesome staff!

Finally got the chance to check out Saturday Dumping. Went on Sunday a bit after lunch rush. It was consistently busy but we were able to find a seat and food came out pretty quick. They had 2 kiosk as you walk in the door to order food and/or merch and frozen dumplings as well. We ended up ordering:1 Chicken & Mushroom Dumplings (contains soy) $14.00 1 oz. Garlic Chili Aioli (V, GF, Spicy) 1 oz. Diane's Peanut Sauce (Very Spicy, contains peanuts & shellfish) $0.751 Crispy Sambal Chicken Rice Bowl (Spicy, GF, contains soy) $16.00The dumplings were good. They were flavorful. The bowl was really good though as far as the toppings but I do feel it was filled w/ mostly rice. My mom really liked the slaw they put on the side. Diane's peanut sauce was good & had a light kick. I love pink so naturally I loved the overall aesthetic. I will say we did see one of the staff cleaning the tables in a very unsanitary way. It was busy so I'm glad they come around to clean often but they used 1 rag and would spray the table then wipe the chairs with the same rag. Then do the same at every other table with the same dirty rag. So basically the tables are not clean, which I get that's a risk eating out anywhere.

Food: 4Service: No table service, counter onlyAmbiance: 5.0Value: 2.5I wanted to show you my specific ratings for Saturday Dumpling, since I have mixed feelings about it.The place is cute and very trendy looking. If you are looking for a hip, happening place, Saturday Dumpling fits the bill. Self-order kiosk, check; Limited menu board; check, trendy vibe; check; environmental, check.I know that Saturday Dumpling has had rave reviews for their dumplings and I have no complaints about the food. I enjoyed the dumplings. My wife's order of pork and cabbage was very good and I had the "collaboration with Diane's Place" special with Hmong Sausage. It comes with your choice of dipping sauce and we both got the ginger scallion sauce. The dumplings (six per order) come with a pickled coleslaw and pickles, which was very tasty.Limited Variety: At the restaurant, the dumpling varieties are very limited. In fact, there are only four options, one of which is a rotating special. For frozen (take home or buy in a store), it looks like there are six options.ValueDespite a very positive review above, I will not return to Saturday dumpling because I consider it a very bad value. Keep in mind, that the dumpling prices are about twice as much as their frozen dumplings. If you have only purchased the frozen ones and had them at home, it might seem like a good value to you.At the restaurant, we ordered two dumpling platters of six each. The only other thing we ordered was two cans of pop. Keep in mind, although they don't have tipping, they also have zero service (you order at the counter, pick up the food yourself, and bus your own table), so this should not be touted as a discount. For the two order of dumplings plus two cans of pop, we paid exactly $42.00 for lunch. I think $22 a person for lunch for this kind and quantity of food at a self-serve restaurant is really excessive and represents a very poor value proposition. Also, in my opinion, you should at least be able to order at the counter and interact with a human being. However, at Saturday Dumpling, the only way to order and pay is at a kiosk.I try to put more emphasis on food in my restaurant reviews, but I also want to talk about value because (in my opinion), they both have to be rated highly for me to want to return to the restaurant.

Went to try this restaurant on a Sunday, imagine the invitation saying meet me at Saturday dumpling company on Sunday for dinner. Street parking with meters in front. This store ambiance was so pink and chic! Self order kiosk and grab a number so the servers can find you. We tried the monthly special dumpling which is shrimp and pork, pork and cabbage, and chicken and mushroom. All were tasty. The chilli alioli and ginger scallion were a great sauce, otherwise the plain soy sauce, chilli oil, and dumpling vinegar is available too. I wanted to try the scallion pancake as an appetizer but they only have that for the burrito. The cumin fries were delicious. The black sesame golden cloud bites were surprisingly heavy, real dense. Reminds me of Chinese donuts at the buffet.

Visited 2/8/25. Saturday dumpling ready to sell you some flavorful and delicious dumplings in northeast! Located in the former glamdoll location, you should give yourself a bit of time beforehand to park (at the end one of my friends informed me they had a lot off of the restaurant but I had no idea so I just did street parking). When you enter you will pay in a kiosk which is super efficient but does lack a tiny bit of the charm of being able to ask people working about what they recommend-works okay for a lunch spot though and does make it more efficient. My two friends and I got the Hmong sausage special dumplings which were a collaboration between the wonderful Diane Moua (from Diane's place) and Saturday Dumpling co. They did ring in at about $17-18 or so for the six dumplings so definitely on the pricier side but they were delicious in the end. I also got the crispy sambal chicken scallion pancake burrito and one of my other friends got the veggie rice bowl. Overall we were all impressed with the flavors, especially in relation to the dumplings. I regret not getting extra sauce for my burrito so a note that I would add it on if ordering this. Overall, a lovely lunch and it was a fun stop. I feel like the thing that would keep me ordering or coming back are the unique monthly dumpling specials, otherwise if I lived in northeast I would add it into my lunch rotation.

This new hot and new restaurant just opened up in Minneapolis! The interior is very cute! Everything is pink, bright and gives good vibes. I would recommend going on a weekday because the weekends get super busy but I was still able to find a seat pretty fast. Keep in mind that it is only street parking.Even though it was busy, the food was served quickly. I got the "dumpling of the moment." This signature dish is a fusion of their dumpling-style dishes as well as collaborations from different restaurants. They were able to collab with Diane's Place from NE Minneapolis. I would say it was juicy, meaty and had lots of flavor! Every bite was delicious. But the cumin fries.... Omg those were my fav. Something about the seasoning and crispness are just too good. It came with a garlic aioli sauce and paired great together!I would say it's pretty pricey for how much you are getting but if you've been thinking about trying Saturday Dumpling, it's worth giving it a try!

Cute place in NE that has all the dumplings your heart desires. Lots of options even if dumplings aren't your thing. Self-service take your time, order what you want then your food is brought to you. They have take and make at home options as well. Parking is paid on the street and a little scarce given the area. I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed! Good food quick service

5/5 stars! Worth the hype! We ordered the red curry chicken dumplings and pork burrito. I could eat all of it every day. The flavor was incredible! I can't wait to try more items on their menu. We went midday on a Saturday and it was very busy. Thankfully we ordered ahead - highly recommend doing that!

Tried the special Hmong sausage dumplings (collab with Diane Moua) paired with the spicy peanut sauce. It was really delicious. The dumplings were a but pricey but worth it based on the quality. Also tried the pork and cabbage dumplings with chili oil. The chili oil tasted like it had curry seasoning in it, which I'm not used to (I prefer the more traditional chili oil). Delicious but the Hmong sausage dumplings were better in my opinion. Most drinks were canned. There is free complementary water. I would like to see some hot tea being offered as a beverage.I also got the dessert dumplings with the sweet condensed milk. This was my least favorite dish. It tasted like pretzels with sesame seeds and sugar.

The food was amazing everything was good except for the atmosphere it was a little much but it it is the best feeling when you walk into a small dumpling shop that has been running for over 50 years that has such simple food yet it is so good sadly this restaurant did not have that.but the serves was good
