Salty Steer

We have been here twice since it opened. We love it! Everyone is so friendly, and the food is amazing. The remodel is absolutely beautiful. This used to be the Fishbowl, which we also would frequent. Finally remembered to take some pics of our meals the last time!Plenty of parking for all your recreational vehicle needs

Stopped in on a Friday during their meat raffle. The place was full and people were having fun! The hostess helped us get a rabble for our larger party right away. The service was terrific. Great recommendations. Meat raffle, pull tabs, arcade and bags to keep everyone entertained. I had the brisket cheese steak which was delicious. Waffle fries and smoke pineapple were great. Try the home made blue cheese!

The Salty Steer is a family favorite. Sometimes we stop on the way to the cabin or on our way back to the cities. Food is good, the wait staff are friendly and responsive. I am a fan of their BLT and my wife likes their burgers. Their prices are good, and I think they try hard to keep their food prices reasonable despite inflationary pressures. There are always lots of families in the restaurant section - so I think their pricing strategy works.

Although the food was okay, politics are still a featured item on the menu. Why all the trump stuff?

Very impressed with food and service at this crowded roadhouse north of Danbury. Boasted Chicken special was priced right and delicious. Brisket was excellent. Great sides as well. Service was great also. Busy and loud but worth it. Highly recommended.

Terrible slow service, when food FINALLY did show up it was cold and tasteless.

The service was mediocre. The waitress had no idea what types of beer they had. Don't go for the beer. The food was disappointing at best. Ambiance was nice.
