I've only visited for brunch, but Saint Dinette has one of my favorite breakfasts in the Twin Cities, so I'm super sad to hear it'll be closing soon. The American breakfast ($16) is so simple but well done. The eggs are light, fluffy and soft. The pork belly is crispy and salty in a good way. The hash browns are super crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. And the brioche is the perfect complement to all the other components. I also like the touches of the fermented ketchup (though not my personal favorite) and the jam, which I think is seasonal (I've gotten a berry compote in the summer and apple butter in the winter). I've also tried the beignets, which were good. The space itself is bright and open, and the location is great for if you're going to the farmers market in the summer or the Christmas market in the winter. The service is also solid.I'm not sure if I'll be able to visit again before it closes, but I will think about the American breakfast often :)

Food was good, server was sweet and cute ambiance. Would have loved to have tried their brunch but we couldn't get a reservation early enough. Pay street parking only from what we could tell.

We had heard so many good things about this place. Hoping for a laid back, funky, unique experience.I know all the businesses in downtown St. Paul are fighting for their lives. The atmosphere was fun. The staff was friendly and courteous. The menu is small, so we were thinking that everything was going to be extraordinary. It wasn't. Good, but not great. The sausage was bland, as was the omelette. The bologna sandwich, while unique, was over salted. So was the cheeseburger. It had a nice char, however.Another pet peeve is that the food (for the four of us) didn't come out at the same time.Worth a visit, though, if you haven't been there

Always great service, great food, and a pleasant atmosphere when we visit Saints Dinette. Tried multiple restaurants to find food but Saints Dinette was the only one that could accommodate us.

Went here randomly for Saturday brunch! At first I felt scrubby because of course I'm in sweatpants...but got a spot right at the bar and fit right in! Loved the vibes!Bartender Aubrey was an absolute sweetheart! Loooved the Canadian cold press (came in the cutest tiny espresso cup) and my man enjoyed his spicy Bloody Mary with a snit!Food: started with the apple fritter balls because they were STARING at me! And YUMMM! We then shared the biscuit n gravy (cute cast iron but gravy was a bit "peppery" for me) and the eggs Benedict (mmm the HOLLANDAISE!).Next time I am DEFINITELY getting a cheeseburger because the guy next to me had one and I couldn't stop staring. Double smash burger with cheese oozing. YES PLEASE!

It doesn't get much better than Saint Dinette in the lowertown area of St. Paul. When it comes to ambiance, service, and fare - this spot checks all the boxes. I will be the first to admit that I need to try more of the menu. I generally end up with the Cheeseburger every time I go and for good reason. Simply put, it's one of the best cheeseburgers you will ever have. Whether you are looking for a romantic, intimate date night, Sunday brunch, or belly up at the bar and look into the exposed kitchen while you enjoy a drink and app - St. Dinette is a must visit.

3 Stars because it was just middle of the road for us. Three in our party. We had a reservation which I believe everyone needs in order to eat here. The binets and pork belly bacon were PHENOMENAL. If that was all we had, I would have ranked this a 5 star. The server we had was probably a 1 or 2 star soooo... that can sure affect the experience. There was a different server we saw being superior by far in comparison- so that's the luck of the draw. Eggs Benedict was served with hashbrowns which I believe are just from the freezer section at aldi. They are not what you expect at even a greasy diner or Waffle House. I would have preferred Waffle House for sure. But going back to the eggs Benedict- unfortunately I prepare a better version and I'm very very mediocre. My husband had the omelet and he enjoyed that. Daughter had the American breakfast and the bacon made up for the average rating on the rest of the plate. Take away: Binet's and bacon only! You'll walk away satisfied.

We've been coming to Saint Dinette pretty much since moving to St. Paul and it's always been consistently delicious. The food feels upscale but not in a way that makes me uncomfortable to walk in wearing "normal" casual clothes. My husband gets the burger and fries almost every time we go, it's one of his top 3 burgers in the Cities. The fries are perfectly crisp, the right amount of meatiness (that's a weird descriptor but accurate haha), and the aioli is amazing. I got the eggs Benedict with ham on the side; the English muffin was a bit thicker than I'm used to, & I think the ham would have added the saltiness that the dish was lacking, so that's definitely a "me" issue. That being said, the hollandaise was perfectly tangy and creamy, the eggs were exactly what you want on an eggs Benedict. I appreciate that the hashbrowns come in more of a patty, so all sides are crispy and delicious with a soft center. The only cons:-pricing is a bit on the high end; it's $17 for just the burger (which, granted, is a double patty with a sharp cheddar)-parking can be a pain if you come on a day that the farmers market is going on-I'm not sure how accessible the restaurant is; there are steps leading to the door. I would assume there's an accessible entrance somewhere, but it could be tricky for someone who is alone & can't navigate the steps

Brunch review:As many know Saint Paul downtown is not as popular as its twin brother Minneapolis. But Saint Dinette is a must place to go while exploring the Saint Paul downtown. This is a Great place for food. The entrance is share with another establishment. The bathrooms are fairly clean . The ambiance of the restaurant as you walk in was very well designed with big open windows and love the natural lighting with high ceilings, simple but yet elegant decor; Real plants and appreciate the attention to detail of how the tables were neatly arranged to have good spacing for customers and staff alike. Ordered the Caesar salad , cheese burger, and American breakfast . American breakfast:Includes triangle hash brown crispy and good, eggs were softly scrambled and seasoned , pork belly was interesting-came in a nice one thick piece fried or oven baked till crispy, 2 slices of bread toasted-overall simple but delicious Cheese burger: a two beef Pattie cheese burger cooked to medium perfection - flavor was very good- burger is delicious can't get any better than this but only critique would be the cheese is a bit too salty- if use a mild less salty cheese, you'll have the perfect burger Caesar Salad: typical delicious Caesar salad with good dressing and seems like Homemade croutons. Everything delicious except-they add 2 piece of real anchovies fish pieces from can into the salad. As a foodie and someone who knows what makes a Caesar salad taste good, I don't mind the anchovy but for most regular customers- I would say don't add the anchovies because it gives a fishy taste and smell that may be off pudding to most customers. My suggestion if you are going to add the anchovies, batter it in slight flour/cornstarch mixed and deep fry it. It will give a crunch factor and less of fishy smell and after taste to the palate.

Great first experience at Saint Dinette! A word to the wise about parking: check to make sure there isn't a Saints game when you're trying to visit, parking was a huge challenge! We visited Saint Dinette because they were on the "best burgers in the twin cities" list, so of course we ordered the burger and fries, as well as a side salad and popover to share. The burger was excellent! I would definitely compare it to the parlour burger, but the biggest difference is that Saint Dinette uses real cheddar cheese. So if you love the parlour burger, you'll definitely love the st dinette one. I also really liked the crinkle cut fries with aioli! The popover was slightly burnt so I'd say that was my least favorite, but I did like the 'nduja butter. We definitely will return for the burger and fries, but preferably not on a night the Saints play!
