We had our wedding here on 11/17/18. First of all the price for want you get here is unbeatable! I looked at three other wedding venue locations in the same price range and none of them even came close to what this place offered. So if you are on a budget, this venue should already be at the top of your list.Staff: The staff here are phenomenal. No matter what you need, even the littlest of things, they are right there to help you. I didn't even need an actual wedding planner or personal attendant for my wedding because the staff here took care of EVERYTHING and they did it FLAWLESSLY! The bartenders were super nice and patient with our guests, they even took a photo at our photo booth for our guest book! It's always refreshing to see the staff having just as much fun as the guests!Food: We picked out our menu for the reception and went with the Top Sirloin and the Caribbean Chicken. Bother we're a hit, however the complements we got regarding the steak were the best. Even after the wedding, people still talk about how amazing the steak was!We had zero complaints all night regarding this venue. Everyone had an amazing time and my husband and I couldn't have had a more special day.The brochure and ads promoting this venue don't even come close to how amazing they actually are. They go above and beyond and I wouldn't recommend anyone else! If we had a bigger budget, we still would have held our wedding here. They are that good.

I truly wish that I could give Rockwoods Event Center 0 stars. I held my wedding at this venue on 06/01/2019 and while the decorations and atmosphere were amazing, the way that complaints were treated afterwards was far from amazing. If you have already put a deposit down for your future wedding, I would go into it not expecting to see any of your extra paid for meals, and the staff doing nothing about wedding crasher complaints. My husband had to haul out wedding crashers himself, and when the issue was brought up to the bartender he said it "wasn't his problem". Our "point of contact" was never found and told about the issue. A groom should NEVER have to deal with this on his own. We never expected formal security, but we did expect the people in charge to take care of the issue. I am truly appalled with the way that one of the supervisors, Alex, treats complaints and the people they come from. After we saw no resolution from emailing back and forth with another employee, we chose to have a sit down and unfortunately Alex is who we were sat with. Never once did he take responsibility for the issues at hand, and instead flipped them around onto us and making it out to be our problem. He assumed that our issues were because of financial issues. We never once asked for a refund, nor did we expect one. Are we angry that money was wasted? Absolutely. But we're even more angry that nobody from this establishment would take the blame for their mistakes. It's disheartening that the people who work for this establishment do not care about their customers. When we could not come to any kind of middle grounds, we told Alex that we would be giving bad reviews and the response we received was "that's fine" so here I am. As we were walking out of the building, I could hear him talking about us with another employee. Extremely unprofessional on their part, as people in the customer service industry. I will be telling every future bride and groom to stay far away from Rockwoods, and to spend their money elsewhere.

If I could give a negative star I would. This venue will tell you one thing to get you to book and then day of event will not do what they say. DO NOT EXPECT SECURITY even after they say they handle it, if people from restuarant crash your reception they say " it's not their problem" this idiot would of served them off my open bar if it weren't for the groom having to escourt them out. Dont expect your bar be ready when you arrive it wont be I had to ask twice for it. Then the food, they will not be serve it the way they state . If you confront them with issues they will lie to your face and the supervisor Alex is a complete idiot customer service is NOT his specialty and might be best he leaves the industry. FIND ANOTHER VENUE.

Overall experience was rather unfortunate. We had our wedding at the venue about a month ago and although the atmosphere was great, some of the staff were extremely disrespectful. The servers were excellent but the managers, bar staff and late night crew came off as rude, judgmental and angry. They made myself and my family very uncomfortable. At one point, a staff member was yelling at some of the guests. I don't think it is EVER appropriate to yell at paying customers.

This was a horrible experience! If you are planning an event here, or at least a wedding I would reconsider. I attended my cousins wedding and there was an incident with outside alcohol being brought in. That was not the issue, how the staff handled it was beyond disrespectful and disappointing. Instead of speaking directly to the people they "caught" sneaking in booze, they decided to inform the bride and groom and make an announcement to the entire wedding. This resulted in the bride crying and other people accusing others of sneaking and booze and the staff threatening a 500 dollar fine. With no warning. no signs, no nothing. The staff were all extremely rude the whole night. It ruined the happy spirit of the wedding and isn't even that nice so yeah, don't waste you're money. Like literally anywhere else would suffice the dance floor is the size of a kitchen.

Rockwood's sure knows how to take care of their guest! Best wedding venue! Wedding was 4-3-21. They deserve 10 stars! The coordinators are amazing, huge shout out to Lisa, Meagan and Katie. We had to postpone our wedding two times due to Covid and these ladies have been so wonderful to work with. Best communication ever! They respond to emails and call quickly. We did a plated meal that was served quickly. The food was so good were still getting compliments about it. I highly recommend the pot roast. The bartenders were knowledgeable and nice to all our guest. The venue and food cost are very reasonable too. They really do make everything so convenient for you and guest. 3 huge perks of getting married at Rockwood's are- 1: you can also have the ceremony on site. they have an indoor and outdoor option. 2: There is a hotel sharing the parking lot. 3: The biggest perk of all... We literally were able to drop off all our decorations 2 days in advance and they set everything up for you and the decorations don't have to be picked up for 1-3 days after! This takes away so much of the stress no need to end the party early for cleaning up!!! We loved our Wedding at Rockwood's and highly recommend it to everyone. Great atmosphere, tasty food, very reasonable prices and stress- free.
