Robbinsdale Wine & Spirits

I will forever forget how convenient this liquor store is for me and will spend extra time and gas to spend my money ANYWHERE else. A couple days ago my mom and I stopped in for some beer. We were in there for thirty seconds when a man came charging up from behind me screaming "MOVE MOVE MOVE!" Startled thinking someone has to be dying I moved and turned to see a worker!? Quite possibly the manager of the store. He ran to the back and came back about 10 seconds later pointing at my mother and I screaming "You two need to hurry up and LEAVE!" We were totally lost for words and just left and drove to Cub Liquor!I'm not sure what his deal was, we did nothing wrong? Even if we did is that how you treat customers? I've never been treated more rudely in a business in my life. I'm writing this days later because I'm still thinking about how totally bizarre it was.

Service has always been great. I would like to see some more local stuff. I don't know about wine, but it seems they miss the mark with the many possible breweries in the twin cities as well as a growing number of local distilleries that are hard to find there.I know there are other stores, and the whole area is grossly under representing the local products. For some reason, it feels to me that Robbinsdale is the best suited to get into the market of local products.I'll update on the beer selection, which has been much better this week (must have received a shipment). Not quite what I think it could be, but it is definitely better.

Usually my experience is very pleasant and the staff are usually extremely pleasant but after today I will be making sure I let people know how rude and unpleasant the manager Jen is. Really made me feel so uncomfortable with others now looking at me. I walk in coming from the gym next door as usual and she says nothing to me until I go to grab a 24.99 bottle of Jameson. Tells me I need to leave my bag at the counter which was fine until I said well ma'am the bottle I'm grabbing is right here where you can see me without me having to turn the corner. She said "well I don't know you and people steal" I was extremely offended. I said well where would you like me to leave my custom made $150 bag with my $300 Michael Kors wallet and she said I could put it in the floor. Never have I been treated that way and I will be making sure everyone knows how rude she is because the lady in front of me had a bag (white woman) and she said nothing to her. Awful service!!!

This liquor store couldn't be more convenient for me. It's right next to my gym and close to home too. Their prices are average and in line with other liquor stores. Unfortunately their customer service is awful. They are lazy, unfriendly, and unhelpful. I've stopped in several times and not once has anyone said hello when I enter. Today I went on looking for a six pack of chelatas and stood at the cooler where they usually are. There was an employee standing right next to me at the cooler and he was didn't bother asking if he could help me find anything. I asked him if they had stopped carrying the six packs of chelatas....his response, "um, I think so, sorry." This was the last straw. I'll stick with the liquor stores in the neighborhood that greet me when I enter and ask if I need help finding anything.I'm done with Robbinsdale wine and spirits.

This is a pretty decent liquor store. They have a great selection of beer and wine, in addition to liquor as well. They have sales every so often that can't be beat. I visit a variety of liquor stores while on the hunt for the best deal and this place has some sale items that even beat Costco's pricing. Plus the staff here has always been friendly and helpful. Make sure to check the website for their current flyer advertising the specials.

I occasionally stop at this store if I am shopping at the Hy-Vee next door. I stopped in yesterday to pick up a six-pack of Heineken. I got what I came in for and went to the register. My purchase was just under $10.00. I gave the cashier a $10.00 bill. I held out my hand for my change and receipt but the cashier (Dick H.) put my change and receipt on the counter and not in my hand.I was taken aback and angered, but took my change and receipt and purchase and left. As an African-American man in his 50's and Dick H. who was my age if not older, we both fully understood what his actions were saying to me. This is still a tried and true slight that we are subjected to in certain establishments. I decided at the time not to make a fuss over a receipt and eleven cents change, but the goal was achieved, I was annoyed and it stayed on my mind all night and even until this morning. I should have said something right then and there, or at the least just canceled the purchase and left. I hate the thought that in this day and age and in this country there are people around me who resent that I have the freedom to go out and interact as an equal to them in everyday society.I decided this morning to write about this. As I went into the site to do this I see that this store has a long history of poor customer service reviews. I have not encountered this issue at this store before, I don't go there often despite it being closer to me. I don't want to say I'll never go there again, but I do know that if I receive this treatment again there or anywhere, I will cancel the purchase and no longer use that business.

Always kind and helpful service here. And I don't know if it is a recent deal but if you are stocking up on things or having a party and need 3 or more bottles of something like wine, etc. they had a deal for 10% off.

Great beer selection, but little imported wine, staff is helpful and I live half a block away. I keep them sold out of Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout, but they also have Guiness which I also love

This place won't sell to sober 30 year olds with the hiccups- or anyone they are with. I've shopped here before, never again.
