Riverwood Canoe & Kayak Rental

A local friend (Jan) recommended Riverwood while traveling through WI. Great recommendation. Had to call to make a change to my reservation, call promptly answered and accommodated. Crew were great, nice and friendly. We had a beautiful time kayaking down the river, it took us about 3 hours. Beautiful day, river was absolutely wonderful and very scenic. Highly recommend Riverwood.

Went on a day trip down St Croix river with 4 kids between the ages of 7 and 9 and had a blast. The staff was courteous, life jackets were clean, and the equipment - well maintained.Make sure to make reservations in advance, as it is a popular attraction and during peak times and on weekends availability is quite limited.Double kayaks were perfect for kid+adult tandems - kids could pedal or play with water. Canoes are great for multiple kids, but at the end of the trip were voted down, as kids preferred kayaks.Both canoes and kayaks have room for a cooler with lunch, but lack dry space, so make sure to put your valuable electronics into a ziplock bag.There are some sand bars creating shallow areas, perfect for swimming. Just be aware that the current is still there and secure or hold on to your vessels and wear life vests as the shallow waters drop off quite fast and we had kids drifting to deeper ends of the river.

This family run canoe business is the best in the area. The staff is great! Their prices are reasonable. The canoes and the kayaks are in great condition as well. Canoeing is a great way to spend time together with friends and family while social distancing! Riverwood canoe is the best place to rent a canoe. I highly recommend this activity and business!

We rented 2 canoes with Riverwood and it was a great experience. I called the day before with some questions and spoke with Capt Andrew and he couldn't of been friendlier. He knew the weather report for the next day and into the following week. The day of our rental we were picked up by Capt Kevin and he was awesome. He gave us a fun and informed history lesson of the area and what to expect cruising down the St. Croix. Super fun and great people. We're looking forward to going again.

Great staff! They were very flexible; we had to reschedule and there was no problem. We were greeted and checked in quickly. They hauled all the gear to the river for us. The trip down the river was beautiful! When we got to the take out spot, there was a driver waiting to take us back right away - no waiting. All the staff members were really friendly.

Decided to go kayaking and canoeing for the 4th of July this year. The prices were decent and they had very convenient shuttle buses that took us to the drop of location and picked us up. The employees we helpful and pretty darn funny. We kayaked/canoed for about a good 7 1/2 miles. Was looking forward to the sand bar while we were out there but it must've been flooded over. Overall it was a great trip!

Great crew who make it super easy!!! I've done the big bus shuttles and hated the waiting around. With Riverwood, you hop in the shuttle van, they load your kayak/canoe and then 2-3 hours later you hop off where they're ready to pull it out of water, load it and jump into van again. Back to car in 5 minutes! Have used them twice - easy online booking too. Highly recommend them!!

Found this great gem looking for some outdoor fun while staying for a family reunion. This was a great experience. We had 11 of us on paddle boards and kayaks! No problem for even one of our group members to cancel last minute. Family run business that let us relax and enjoy a great day on the water!!

The route is beautiful, employees are friendly and helpful, it's affordable and you don't have to wait forever for a shuttle to take you back when you're done!
