This is a great store for those who are improving/repairing their homes. We came here for the first time to see what they have and I could see that it's a great place to get things that cost less than retail. There was furniture there for living and dining room that looked pretty good. I would certainly consider ReStore when I'm in the market for a dining room set. I am considering changing what I've got.We didn't interact with any staff, as it wasn't necessary. They all seemed to be friendly and were helping various customers throughout the store.

I love reducing waste and having a space that saves furniture items from the landfills. Most everything in here is save-able and in great condition. There are tons of furniture pieces in here for a DIYer to breathe new life into and all the tools you'd need to do it! For the non-DIYers, the furniture is mostly older styles and really quality-made wooden pieces. All the items we saw were priced really appropriately. There are even some new (likely overstock of our favorite furniture brands) pieces that are at a massive discount. I'm excited to come back and pick up some new things for our house to both DIY and refurbish!

So, essentially like a Goodwill for building items/furniture/flooring that are donated items and resold. Saving our environment is important but a few items here were a little spendy while others were not. Be sure to allow time to wander around the ReStore since you never know what you will find.

As a new homeowner, I have a long list of things I need to make my new house a home. I made my first visit to the ReStore today and was pleasantly surprised by how much there was! Not only were there several chair options for my porch but I also found tools to care for my yard, paint, and decor. The staff was very helpful when I had questions. The only real downside is that it's got some labeling but, like most secondhand stores, it's not terribly organized so finding what you want can take some digging. But if you've got the time to dig, you can find some really great things!

Wow. Wow. Wow. I spend a lot of money and buy a ton of stuff from Habitat. But today I am rethinking this decision, at least at their Minnehaha store. I found a lamp I was really interested in purchasing, but the price seemed high @ $75 for a mass produced, not high end single bulb pendant light, so I googled it and discovered it was $50 and $59 on eBay and $69 on Amazon, all with free shipping and new in boxes. I politely asked if they ever change pricing that is out of line with retail, and was directed to the "person in charge of pricing," Jill. She reacted to me like I was trying to rob them or something when I mentioned the discrepancy with the exact same available lamps online. She said that they don't change prices. I quickly decided to leave the store and not buy anything else I had come for, either. As I was leaving, I said, "You know, I spend a lot of money at these two stores (I do my own work at my rental properties, so I'm always replacing stuff,) and I'm shocked you're sending me out of here, a charity that is set up to raise money to help people, to have me buy it online because your item is overpriced. You can clearly see the issue with your pricing." I asked her if she was sure she wanted to do this, and that I would be noting it on my review. She then told me I can have it for $50, but at that point I didn't want to give that store a dime of my very hard-earned money. Ugh. It was such a simple problem to fix nicely! It could have been such an easy, no brainer win-win! I could have been a happy customer, and they could have sold a lamp (that was not in the original box) at a fair price, but in this alternate universe in this particular store it seems that isn't a possibility. I don't like to spend money shopping if it isn't enjoyable. And remember, this light was a DONATED ITEM! It's not like they had a profit margin to consider. As their prices continually creep up, the hassle of buying things here is becoming less and less attractive. It used to be a fun adventure to come to these stores. Now I spend half my time online making sure I'm not getting gouged on purchases. And if I do find out that their prices aren't fair, they react poorly. No thank you. I would rather pay retail and be treated like a human who matters.

It all depends on what you're looking for and what they have in stock. The space is huge, there's plenty of room to walk around at your leisure and poke through stuff to find something worth buying. On my visit there were a ton of light fixtures and bulbs, chances are you would find something if these were in your list. There were also a ton of doors, interior, exterior and folding closets. I needed a sliding closet door and unfortunately didn't luck out. There's an area with random tools and home improvement parts too, but they were picked overnpretty good. Stuff is definitely priced to sell, but unless you find the perfect fit in the condition you would be willing to pay for you might leave empty handed. It's the kind of place you go in with minimal expectations and hope you score a great deal.

Gone in the same crud /profit-first direction as goodwill. I love the idea of recycling and saving useful items from landfill however for donated material with volunteer staff:/ the prices are extra extra high for anything that's useful or a decent product... might as well get it on sale and have a warranty. I only hope they have a voucher program for people who qualify.

I volunteer there a couple times a week. I have never seen a negative interaction between a client and staff. All the merchandise is donated so the stock at any one tome depends on what's been donated. This can be frustrating if you come in looking for one specific item. The prices are half or less than retail. When I'm pricing items, I will check the retake prices at Home Depot or Menards and use that as a guide to price the item at half price. I'm sure that I make mistakes but usually it's underpricing things. When I'm wrong they cut my salary in half!Come on in and look around, I frequently see things I like and buy them, making my volunteer work expensive.
