Delicious! Went here and got a tonkotsu ramen and chicken karaage and they were both yummy! Forgot to take a pic of the chicken because I dove right in but the pieces were huge and can be a meal in itself. It was very flavorful and juicy. The ramen was also yummy! It's been hard to find good ramen here for some reason and this one seems to hit the spot. There's a decent amount of food and a good chunk of pork. The egg was truly soft boiled and delicious. The broth is flavorful. Tip, mix everything before you eat it. I love the garlic in there as well!! Will definitely come back!!

We celebrated my cousins birthday in the North Loop and decided to get some ramen post- Vikings game. The venue is exciting, there's a few other eats to select from along with a bar that brings drinks to your table when you order from your phone. The food itself was a bit underwhelming. I got the bacon on bacon and i was dissatisfied with my meal. The kale was recently washed which I appreciate, however it was cold and was cooling my meal sitting in my noodles. The egg was also ice cold and this again upset me. I had to remove both things so that my food would not get further cold. The noodles with bacon and chicken were good but nothing exciting. Wontons were good. Tasted like the wontons I make from a frozen bag at home. My partner got the tan tan men, it was better than the bacon on bacon but not great. I do not like making bad reviews but felt that it had to be mentioned. What left a sour taste in my mouth was the fact that the card reader has an option to select "F" for no tip (I had cash for a tip), but they taped over the "F" button. Won't be going back is all I can say.

Nice ramen joint in the food hall with lots of taken; both meat and vegan. I wanted to try their mazeman but that's have to be next time. The crew was super nice, friendly, and made me feel good about supporting them. Food took about 10 minutes to come out. The food hall gets pretty crowded and loud so I'd go on the early side. We got the gyoza, brrussels sprouts, and seaweed salad. The gyoza was nice and light with awesome crispy skirt. The Brussels could be a main dish. Super flavorful, savory, and slathered in sesame oil and soy sauce. The seaweed salad was excellent as well. Not too sweet, like a lot of places, with well marinated cucumbers and a good amount of oil.

This is based on their soft opening. And ... it's great! A welcome addition to both the North Loop Galley and the North Loop generally. We needed a local ramen spot and Kawae didn't disappoint! Pork belly was tender, broth flavorful and complex, and house made noodles delicious! Can't wait to try out their full menu - including their bowls and apps.

This restaurant is in the north loop food hall. The parking is a bit tricky but the nordic parking lot is very close and only $5. The ambiance on a Saturday for lunch was perfect. There are many tables for small groups and large groups. You can order from your table or go up to the restaurant front. They have a pop-up restaurant spot which is cool and you have to order from the counter. Also a large bar in the middle with a spicy spicy bloody mary. We started with the Kaarage which was good. Breading was crunchy and fluffy and you could take the subtle flavor of the marinade. The sauce was good -sweet. Very large pieces but still juicy. The ramen broth was sweet. I personally do not like sweet ramen. I like to balance the sweetness out with something to create the Unami flavor. The pork tonkatsu ramen was not creamy. There was no spice in anything - almost like there was no tare or black garlic oil or chili oil, just the broth. There also was a large amount of sesame flavor and oil in the wonton dish. The char siu was a huge portion with again no flavor and a large fat cap. Texture was fine but not fall apart like it was braised for hours. Bamboo was thick and hearty. Best ramen noodles I have had in the cities. Just the right chew and thickness. I still can unfortunately give 3 stars for the broth being too sweet and lacking flavor. Free

I probably should not review RAMEN Kawae without having tried the ramen dishes yet, but I would definitely go back again for the lump crab fried rice. It's called Kani Meshi on the menu. It really does have discernible lumps of fresh crab! Certainly more lumps than at fancy restaurants that claim to be serving crab chowder. It tastes like the Taiwanese style fried rice at Din Tai Fung: light and eggy, a little salty, a little sweet, and no soy sauce. I also got the sunomono, which featured a wide variety of seaweed, but the cucumbers were strangely mushy instead of crisp, as if they were cooked. Next time I'm in North Loop, I will stop by the Galley Food Hall again and try Ramen Kawae's RAMEN dishes.

My favorite Ramen so far in Minneapolis! The North Loop Galley is a super fun venue, filled with awesome staff and decor. Even if Ramen isn't your thing, there are several other vendors right next to them. Family friendly. Highly recommended!

Great service. The only portal didn't give a confirmation after ordering online, but when I called, the staff was great and confirmed our order. The ramen is pretty good! The Tan Tan Men is nice and spicy. The Wonton Ramen had a broth that reminded me of pho, a bit of a homey taste. The gyoza was alright. North loop Galley is a great place to sit, eat and socialize.

Moving from Hawai'i, we were worried we wouldn't find many good ramen spots in the area. We love this spot. Admittedly, every time I come I find myself getting the tan tan men. The broth is delicious, rich and perfectly spicy. I prefer an onsen egg and there's are a little more done than I would like, but I also think that's because of the local area probably preferring a more well done egg. The space itself isn't a restaurant but more of a food hall. So there aren't servers. I enjoy this. You order at the venue you wish and then you take a number and find the place you prefer to sit. The great thing about multiple restaurants being here is that you can normally satisfy everyone in a group and also try things from multiple spots.
