Raku Sushi & Lounge

The last time I went to the Twin Cities for work, I had to stay at a different hotel than I usually do. The experience turned out to be a pleasant surprise because the hotel was a short walk to the The Shops at West End. I headed over for dinner figuring I'd make a game time decision on where to eat when I got there.It turned out that I arrived at Raku Sushi & Lounge just in time for Happy Hour, which meant that I got some appetizers, nigiri and a beer for a discount. Score! I enjoyed the food so much that I wound up getting another beer plus the Fire Roll, which was superb!It was a nice day in late September and I was able to sit on their small patio as well. The service was great too.It's always nice to find a quality sushi place on my travels and this one delivered!

Came here with colleagues to celebrate a two year project coming to an end. We were able to pick a variety of sushi to go on the boat rather than the traditional sushi boat order. It was perfect for us to share and a fun way to celebrate. Great sushi, definitely will go back

Stopped in to pick up an order at Raku. Pro tip: they have their own ordering website which I think might have less of a service fee. I ordered the captain crunch roll (tempura shrimp, crab, avocado) and a side of fried rice. I did have to wait 10 minutes after the suggested pickup time, which was a bummer especially as the restaurant wasn't that busy. While I didn't eat there, the inside seemed nice and had a good balance of bar vs dining room seating.

Nice service, good location, yummy food but food portion were just okay.We ordered the lunch special but the portions were really small. Even the appetizers were so small. I know it's a special but I mean the rolls were just soooo tiny. It was pretty yummy tho! I did the 3 combo for 14.00 and I still felt hungry. You would def need to double order just to feel satisfied. :'(

Stopped by for a late lunch and as usual, everything was on point. The playboy, captain crunch, the cherry blossom and the sweetheart rolls were all good and everything else we ordered.

I took my husband here for his birthday recently to treat him to sushi, I am not a very big sushi fan myself and I honestly really enjoyed the food. It did take forever for each order to come out, some stuff didn't come out at all, and some stuff came that we never ordered. It wasn't busy at all so, we wondered if that's how they limit how much people eat by being really slow. Outside of that it was a good enough experience food wise I want to go back again, and again- I'm not a sushi fan so despite the weird amount of time and mistakes getting our food it was tasty enough that I'm totally willing to overlook that all. And should mention that the staff were really very friendly when they showed up.

We came here as a party of 6 for dinner & drinks on a Saturday evening. The decor & vibe of the restaurant is very welcoming. The service was prompt and welcoming. All of our food we ordered was delicious. We highly recommended the following items: - Green Salad w/Ginger Dressing- Clear Soup- Miso Soup- Philadelphia Roll- Captain Crunch Roll- Number 10 Roll (on the specials menu)- Mongolian Beef- Yaki Udon w/Chicken (includes 2 shrimp tempura)Next time we will sit at the fun tables that have you "sit in the floor". Very fun vibe & we will definitely be returning very soon!-

'Sorry...': you may hear this quite a bit if you go to this restaurant. They were sorry certain beers weren't available, they were sorry the food, which was Sushi, took quite a while to make and so on. Fortunately, the bar staff is super friendly so that makes the 'sorry' work you in an intended fashion. The sushi is okay, not best ever

Went for a Vday dinner. As always, the sushi was outstanding. Had the Playboy and the Manhattan. My girlfriend had the teriyaki beef with fried rice, steak was a lil under cooked, but still good, I had the surf and turf, the steak was great, lobster was a little tough. Drinks were great, I had the Raku Mojito.
