I was looking for an option to bring to a work potluck. Thought rib tips would be good and easy to share. I went to Yelp and found Rack Shack! I tried ordering ahead online but it wouldn't let me change the date so I called in my order instead. The person I talked to was friendly and helpful. I quickly placed my order for rib tips and 3 different sauces really quickly. Picking up - my pick up time was scheduled just 10 mins after they opened. They greeted me, somehow knew I was there for the pick up, and out I went. Everything was so easy to do and the rib tips were tender and delicious! Ready to try more from Rack Shack BBQ!

We were excited to try a new BBQ place near us. The Barbeque Mac menu is innovative - props for that. Flavor and value were only okay.Service was a let down. We ordered for takeaway online, and when I arrived for pickup, it took a few minutes to be greeted, then I was treated as though I was crazy for showing up so "early" for my pickup. Finally, they ran out of the ingredients to make my order. I was offered to make my order incomplete, or to wait for another half hour while they went to buy ingredients, or change my order. It felt unprofessional. The restaurant was empty when I went in around lunch time on a weekend. Maybe this business only exists for catering and for business lunches.

Rack Shack Revitalized!!!Having eaten at Rack Shack under previous owners, and after reading some negative reviews about the new ones, we were skeptical. We. We're. Wrong. My husband ordered the half rack of ribs, and they were the juiciest they've ever been. I had the Philly melt with brisket and it had much more meat than I expected and was so flavorful. We shared the cheese curds and onion rings, and they were crispy and seasoned well - unlike the previous ones which were way too salty. The ranch was flawless. It wasn't runny and bland - it was thick, perfect for dipping. And the sauces are so good. We prefer the KC and the St. Paulie.

This review is for their Thanksgiving turkey. We purchased a whole turkey - 22 pounds. The whole experience was awesome. The pickup was efficient, the bird was securely packed and easy to carry, and the product was delicious!! Great smoke, moist throughout, and easy to carve. We've eaten here before besides Thanksgiving and the BBQ is tasty and the restaurant clean. We will definitely come here often for their regular offerings as well as their Thanksgiving turkey. Recommend it!

First time visit for us and the food did not disappoint! Two of us shared a half rack of ribs, a 1/2 lb of brisket, slaw and a medium sweet potato fries. Love that the meats come unsauced, which shows this team knows what they're doing. Both ribs and brisket had the perfect kiss of smoke and were well-seasoned (fries too- the salt mix had a tiny bit of sugar and spices that elevated them from good to great). Two points of constructive criticism: their sauce game here was average (we tried 5 different types, everything except super spicy). Flavors were decent, but not as layered or deep as the A+ meats deserved. A little less corn syrup (just guessing here because the sweetness was relentless in a couple flavors) and cutting back on the liquid smoke a hair would be ideal. Don't want to knock these guys because they do a really good job and it was the best bbq we've enjoyed all year. Note: music is pretty loud rock n roll (which I love, but not when I'm eating with someone I love) so don't plan to have a lot of conversation if you eat in the dining room. Friendly staff, great service. We will be back.

Every time I visit Burnsville from Dallas, Texas, I've wanted to stop at rack shack barbecue. From when they used to be located on the other side of 77 Clif Road to their current location. After more than 10 years, I finally had an opportunity to visit the restaurant today.To my dismay I ended up, leaving without ordering any food. I asked about the brisket and I was told it was good. When I asked specific details about the bark, if it was a wet or dry cut I was told it's the same as every day. I asked if I could see the brisket and I was told no, What if a customer walked in and needed to be serviced immediately. When I asked if they had a sample, I was told they don't provide samples. They have a minimum order of half a pound of meat. I asked if I wasn't happy with the brisket if I could return or exchange it, and I was told they do not do either.I was very disappointed. -Jason
