R Social on Main

Got the recommendation from my son's girlfriend to try out the R Social. We had a party of 5. We had four different meals and an appetizer. We had the Big Shrimpin' which came with 5 shrimp in a Asian wrap and Boom Boom sauce. They were delicious. They have a good list of draft beers and drinks at okay prices. I had the lobster grilled cheese with a side of brussel sprouts without the bacon (pescetarian), both very good. Two of the others had Chicken and Waffles, Thai Peanut Wrap and the Tennesse Mac and Cheese. All were very good. Some of the meals were upgraded to fries and they were also very good. Our waitperson was fantastic, super friendly and efficient. The ambiance was very welcoming and cozy. They have an outside area that was closed due to the weather but looks very inviting. We will be back!

The vibe of the place was super cool and nice. The service was super fast from the minute we were sat to getting drinks ordered down to when we got our appetizer.Our cheese curds were under done, where there was batter inside of them. The Tennessee chicken was the worst sandwich I've ever had. Flavor was not it. The sauce is not smooth. Incredibly sloppy. The tenders were dry, and seemed as though they were previously prepared and kept under a heat lamp.The season fries were perfect! Crunchy and fluffy. Would hesitate to try again, but likely will give it one more shot.

Ordered out here for a board game day and had my friend get me the Beyond burger with lettuce and tomato. The patty was cooked like regular meat and was a little charred and very tasty. The bun was clearly brushed with butter so not suitable for vegans (hard to ask these things when it's not me ordering). I did upgrade to fries and since we picked up and ate at home they were very cold but they were good.Ambiance looked nice and staff seemed friendly. Everyone liked their salads, no complaints.

Love their new additions, I have always enjoyed the patio/balcony. Service is always super good here. Shrimp ravioli was very good, while the Tuscan chicken pasta was a pretty innovative dish.

It's a very laid back bar scene. I came here with a bunch of coworkers last night after work. There were about 15 of us. The servers were very nice. The food took a bit of a wait but we didn't mind. Given there were so many of us and we ordered a bunch of starters. The food was delicious. I def recommend the brisket, cheese curds and big shrimpin.

We've been meaning to visit this local spot since it opened nearly two years ago. We finally tried it over Labor Day and were wildly impressed! Happy HourSangria - refreshing while being rich and flavorful, transported me back to Madrid Chips and Salsa - finely blended salsa and thick chips, the salsa had a bit of an odd flavor in my opinion but it didn't deter usWatermelon and Feta Salad - this salad was MASSIVE. It had the perfect combination of flavors and textures. The watermelon was crunchy and sweet while the feta and honey vinaigrette added just the right acidity. The salmon rounded out the whole salad.Smoky Tuscan Pasta - incredibly cheesy al dente pasta with fork tender smoked chicken.This has become a fast favorite in the NW suburbs for us!

R Social has a ton of seating with a main dining area and bar, as well as a back bar that looks to open to a patio in the summers. There are also pull tabs near the back bar for those that like to partake. We were there on a quieter night so our waitress was also working the bar. She was super great and attentive and offered a bunch of suggestions! However, I was left wanting more from the food and drinks. The Wall Street sandwich was a little light on pastrami even though it was described to be "piled high" and the birria tacos were too salty for me. In addition the margarita was very sweet. Despite the food, I would still go back and try out other things on the menu because there were so many other things that looked good to try.

They have so many options on the menu- something for everyone! We got the sunnies and pickles for appetizers and they were both really flavorful. Ordered the R Social burger and others I was with got the lobster grilled cheese, tuna salad and all looked so good. The service was great- food came out quick and the drinks were refilled consistently. The seating is comfortable and it wasn't too noisy even though it was pretty busy.

Chicken Shawarma at R Social is always so fabulous! Highly recommend. Service is always the best too - friendly staff.

We've eaten at R Social 4 times and always with a large group of 8 or more and it's always been great! Food and service has been wonderful!!
