WONDERFUL CARE!! We have been at Primrose since our child was an infant. From the moment you stepped into Primrose, there is a sense of safety, security, and family. We could not be more pleased with the infant staff. All of them are so wonderful and caring. While, some staff have the left, the quality and loving care of the new staff is great! Our child has learned so much as an infant. We feel the structure and curriculum of Primrose has definitely helped her prepare for her future education. Also, the staff and owners make it feel like a family. We couldn't imagine being anywhere else. To the people about parking...it is VERY clearly marked no parking. During pickup times all spots are used and our children are walking out to the parking lot. It is for the children's safety. Follow the rules and you won't get towed. Plain and simple.

When we found out that the local school district was not doing in-person learning for pre-kindergartners, we looked around for other in-person options and came across Primrose. They were a saving grace for us during this pandemic. The curriculum is great and the teachers/staff all do a fantastic job in building up social skills of the kids.I am surprised and amazed at the effort that staff members take regarding cleaning and safety precautions during this pandemic which ensures for them to stay open for in-person schooling. We have been with primrose for over 6 months and plan on being with them for many more months and possibly years.

I am so grateful I came across this school when I was in search for care for my son. The staff here has so much patience with the kids and work with families really well. My son started there not being able to communicate his feelings so well, with their help and efforts at home, he does that so well. Which has reduced lot of behaviors. The school will never interrupt your day at work with complaints or incidents at school once it's not any emergency. They handle it pretty well. It's the support, patience, love, and care for me. They also work really well with state and federal funding programs. I regret leaving this family because I have to relocate to another state. You won't regret having your child at Primrose School of Cottage Grove.

If you are okay with the fact that a portion of your child care expenses goes towards a security company surveillance parking 24/7 and some sort of deal with a towing company to come at all hours, then you should give some of that to charity. Your tuition is too high of this is part of your operating costs. I was about to be towed at 10 pm tonight. The school is not open nor is there a function at the school. I understand towing cars that are there in the morning, as it would be annoying as a parent to not have a place to park to drop off your child. However, tow those cars as necessary. If you did not think that sharing a parking lot area with a restaurant/bar would be a positive thing for your day care, then perhaps you should've chosen a different location or fought it harder when the restaurant moved in, as I'm unsure who was there first.

I worked at this location for about 9 months. The owners Mickey and Melinda are knew to the field and owning a business. They run it verily cheaply. From how they pay their hardworking employees, to the school lunches, to not even having the appropriate curriculum material for lessons to be taught. They have what seems like a 97.99% turn around rate which effects the quality of what's being taught in the classrooms (if anything is being taught) because its constant new teachers and staff in and out. Over the course of me working there I witnessed 3 African American children removed from their programs/Primrose due to behavioral issues. It was very disturbing because their white peers with the same problems if not worse behavioral issues were allowed to stay. It truly seems like there is a separate system in place. I as a aide noticed this and so did some parents in the community. It shows In the schools diverseness as a whole. In the infant rooms and wing is where you will find the most confusion and turn around. As well as the most inaaprioate behavior from staff. From drama, to being on cellphones 24/7, to not implementing the curriculum provided by primrose whatsoever. It is unacceptable and frankly scary when dealing with little ones. They never observe any classrooms to know what's going on because the leadership team is constantly in and out helping toddler classrooms because the business is understaffed. I would not recommend any family to this center as the management can't uphold the values Primrose as a corp truly stands for. Hopefully with this being such a new location it just grows and gets better but my child would never be the "lab rat" for them to practice on. It reflects in how the center is ran that the owners have no experience and or appreciation for child care at all. This is definitely just a business to them that they want to keep afloat no matter the quality or care being provided In the rooms.

I am so thankful such a wonderful daycare/school has opened up in CG! Given the changes at my work campus, I was having a hard time finding a similar daycare with similar qualities. Primrose was exactly what I was looking for. I love the structure and the curriculum that is offered. Individual classrooms for each age group/level with structured activities/play times/mealtimes. I love getting the daily report for my daughter and pictures throughout the day letting me know what she is learning/working on for the day. The staff at Primrose are very friendly, knowledgeable, and very caring. I highly recommend Primrose! ~Jodi Christensen

We are so happy that we chose Primrose for our son. We can already tell he's learning so much! All of the staff is friendly & it's always kept very clean. They have an app where you can receive pictures throughout the day plus you get to see the activities they do each day as well as what they eat. And it's great to see he's eating a healthy variety of food! Overall we're so pleased to be a part of the Primrose family!

Every night they actively tow the cars of people who park in their parking lot. There is a place next door called Junction 70 bar and grill. One or two customers may park at the school and immediately a two truck shows up. They actively watch for cars and must have some deal worked out with the tow truck company. Then the tow truck driver charges people over a hundred bucks to unhitch their cars or tows them. The thing is, the school is closed and the cars would be gone by morning, so there is no good reason to do this to people. This makes one wonder why this happens CONSTANTLY. It shows a real lack of love for others and the people of Cottage Grove in my opinion. I most certainly would not want my children watched by people who do this sort of thing. If there was a lack of parking during business hours that would be one thing, but that is not the issue. Junction 70 has had to post fliers all over their restaurant just to do their very best to prevent people from being towed.
