Post - American Eatery

This place is so interesting, old post office, our meals were so good.Walleye, perch, artichoke dip and salads.We celebrated a birthday received a free dessert.Our server couldn't have done a better job, very attentive and helpful with our food.We drove a hour and will definitely be back, my new favorite place in Hudson!

Headed to downtown Hudson for a girls' night out with friends. We had a reservation for 6:30 for the patio. I showed up at 6:20 and they were able to seat me right away.Earlier in the day it had rained so the table was covered in water. The kid showing me to the table just put the menus in the puddles on the table. I was like, "Um, you wanna wipe that down for us?"He was like, "Oh yeah, right!"Already off to a rocky start, but the weather was gorgeous so I didn't think too much of it. My girlfriends all arrived by 6:30 and we waited and waited and waited. At some point somebody dropped off a tray of waters for us, but left it on the empty table NEXT to us. We're like, are those our water? WTF?We ended up waiting for 25 minutes before our server actually gave us our waters and took our drink order. And then we wait and wait and wait. Our server never came back to check in on us or take a food order. Another 25 minutes go by and a table next to us that sat down significantly after us get's their drinks and some apps. We flag down the hostess who just happens to be walking by and ask if our drinks have even been put in because if not, we just want to leave.She says she's going to check on it. Another 15 minutes goes by, our server still has not checked in on us. He finally shows up with half of our drinks, but says that the bar is really backed up and he'll have to go back for two of our martinis. We wait another 10 minutes and finally one of my friends is like, I'm just going to go pick up our drinks at the bar. I will say, the bartender made a good dirty Hendricks with extra olives. My poor friend's blue cheese stuffed olives were rancid and her martini was disgusting.So, we essentially waited an hour and a half for our server to come to our table 3 times. Once to take our drink order, once to deliver our drinks, and once to bring the bills.I would try Post again, because the reviews seem great, but this was a terrible first experience.

We were looking for a place to have dinner in Hudson. I couldn't believe that this place had such high review on Yelp.Well, it's true - super awesome building, super awesome vibe, great service, and most of all: really, really good food! A real gem!Go there.

Housed in the old U.S. Post Office in quaint Hudson Wisconsin, this locally owned restaurant has a nice menu with American food and bar favorites. Large shaded patio and a large interior dining room. I ordered the spinach salad and added shrimp & was pleasantly surprised to see it absolutely covered in steamed shrimp. I was asked if I wanted the shrimp grilled (yes), but it was served steamed and cold instead, but it was still very flavorful. I was happy. I honestly don't recall what everyone else ordered because I was focused on my salad. LOL! It comes with bleu cheese but I asked for feta instead. Delish!

Breakfast for Father's Day. Very nice room. Old building, wood floors, a couple of cozy private rooms with one table in them. Nice menu choices. Good Bloody Mary. My wife and daughter had mimosas and loved them. I had the avocado toast and enjoyed it. The biscuits and sausage gravy were very good. Homemade biscuits were very good. Our server was fairly new but did a great job. First time here but will definitely return for dinner and beverages. Nice bourbon selection.

Came in here for breakfast with a few friends today and we all LOVED our coffee and food!! My husband got the mocha and I got a latte and it was so delicious. For food I highly recommend the benny! Our waitress was also so nice and friendly and made the experience that much better!

We were looking for a delicious dinner, and we found it at Post! The Post is a former United States Post Office transformed into a roomy, fun dining space. It is located about a block east of the main Hudson Street. The awesome interior had a great roomy vibe. Our server, Charley, was excellent, and our booth was secluded with accompanying tulips and dark wood.We thoroughly enjoyed our appetizers; a bowl of chicken with wild rice was tasty, and our Mediterranean salad was outstanding. The main course of Grilled Chicken with parmesan bread crumbs and lemon garlic sauce was charbroiled perfectly, and the baked potato was a terrific complement to the meal. Without question, it is a terrific place to eat, and I highly recommend it.

Excellent food. I love outdoor seating so josh took me to try this spot. Food price was reasonable, food taste was definitely a "must come back" and eat again spot. Drinks! Its so hard to fond a place that can give you both great food and adult drinks. We hit the jackpot with this place. We absolutely loved it! I was not a le to take pics when the meals first came out and looked aesthetically pleasing because we dived right in and couldn't stop eating!!!

OMG!!! We haven't been here in a while. We are asking ourselves why!! The chicken artichoke appetizer was spicy but the BEST we have ever had! I had the Seafood Alfredo, my wife had the Chicken Parmesan pasta, and both were delightful! Our server was Reece, and was awesome and fun! Back on the top of our favorites list! An absolute gem in Hudson,WI!!

Every year we try to find something new and unique place to eat for our wedding anniversary. Didn't disappoint Great service very friendly I had the ribeye medium rare. Cooked perfectly. My wife had the 8oz sirloin medium but was very thick so it was more medium rare baked potatoes were done just right. We shared cheese cake
