Porterhouse Steaks & Seafood

We're so fortunate to have this fabulous Little Canada Steakhouse. We go as much for the bar atmosphere as the wonderful steaks. We love their sister restaurant and we frequent Chianti Grill in Rsvl.

This was our first time at Porterhouse and honestly, its been a long time since we've had a dining experience as nice as this.Food, service, everything was just so good. We had the artichoke dip and French onion soup to start. The dip was nice and creamy. The soup was delecious as well.We all had the petit filet with either baked potato or mashed potato. The baked potato was fantastic. The skin was super crispy. We did have to send back two of the steaks as they weren't cooked to our preference but they came back with them cooked just a few minutes later and they were still delicious. The bleu cheese topping was sooooo good. It was creamy, dreamy delicious. We've been to plenty an "upscale" steakhouse downtown and the value for money at Porterhouse is unmatched considering the quality you get. Cassie was our server. She was superb. Super kind. She made our visit that much better. She even sent us home with a slice of chocolate cake as an apology for having to send the steaks back. Super thoughtful and much appreciated. We have already booked our next reservation for a few months from now.

We went to the Porterhouse for a Friday night dinner and were not disappointed! We made a reservation just hours before and showed up right on time. We thought there would be a little wait because it was so busy but we were seated right away! We even requested a booth and our request was fulfilled! The restaurant itself was dim lit and had a very romantic vibe. Also, it seemed like every seat was filled, but we still had exceptional service. The menu was not that big, but still had so many options inside. Luckily our server was amazing and able to recommend her favorites and explain the portion sizes. It was National Espresso Martini day so I had to get one and it was delicious! Some places don't know how to make them, but this one was great! We ordered the crab cakes for an appetizer, would definitely recommend. Our meals also came with bread and a side soup or salad. I chose the French onion soup and was blown away but how good it was! Finally our meals came and we had to bring home half of it because we were so stuffed! It is a pricer place, but well worth every penny! From the service to the food, this place was 10/10! I would definitely recommend!

Had a gift card burning a hole in my pocket so I stopped by Pprterhouse to grab a take away order. The order was going to take 20-25 minutes so I gladly grabbed a seat at the bar and had a very delicious pure margarita while I waited. Super friendly bartender and had a nice convo with the woman next to me. When my dinner was ready, I proceeded to get right home to enjoy the meal. I ordered the burrata bruschetta to start and had the filet and scallop combo. It was all packaged very nicely. It was so much food so I ate half the steak and scallops, the baked potato and a piece of the bruschetta. So so good! The bruschetta was chunky and so fresh. The steak was done perfectly and I cooked up the rest for breakfast the next morning! Great atmosphere-especially in the bar area. Highly recommend!

I treated my bf to Porterhouse for his birthday and we had a phenomenal first time there (: We managed to get the last reservation of that day and the staff was extremely nice and patient even at the very end of the night. The food was so worth the price and they atmosphere they created set the mood. We really enjoyed our meal spread there and the cake they provided for his birthday was absolutely delicious.

We had Julie as our waitress and she was great . The ambiance was very nice. It gave my husband and I a sense of privacy as we celebrated our anniversary in April. The steak was made perfect, Lobster Tail was delicious and the mashed potatoes were actual mashed potatoes homemade style! Julie brought out a complimentary Carrot Cake which we loved!!! I cannot wait for April again !

Best Best steakhouse in the TwinCities!!Food, service, and cozy , the new carpet and dining wares; knives glassware, all updated recently. Just a classic steak house with style!

Food was good, my bread roll was so hard, I couldn't cut it and it went flying. I ordered the crab stuffed salmon it was good but I wished I would of ordered a steak. When the waitress first got there she asked if we wanted drinks and I told her I would like the house red wine and she said okay I'll bring you the cheapest wine we have. The ambiance was very nice. I just noticed a lot of people having to walk around other people and tables because there wasn't adequate space to walk around when seating guests. There is a table that is right in the middle of a very busy area of the restaurant. I'm very glad we did not get that table.

Best steak house around town. Love this little place. Great food and drinks and service!

Delicious steak and mashed potatoes. We were able to get in last minute for a friends birthday. They were very accommodating and the food was great.
