I decided on a super spontaneous self-date at Pittsburgh Blue in Edina and it turned out to be an excellent choice. The restaurant strikes a perfect balance with its ambiance - a dark and sophisticated vibe that still manages to feel welcoming and relaxed. From the host stand to the attentive water and bread service, and throughout the night until I left, the service was incredible. I started with the calamari, which was good, but the Sea Scallops Benedict, a recommendation from my server, Shaun, were amazing! Three perfectly cooked scallops with Applewood smoked bacon and hollandaise atop brioche bread - an absolute chef's kiss! But the absolute highlight of my night was the Blackberry Mojito Martini. Whoever crafted that drink deserves serious praise because it was phenomenal! I'm already planning my next trip specifically to have it again. If you're looking for a fantastic dining experience in Edina, whether solo or with friends or a date, Pittsburgh Blue is a must-try.

I'd been trying to get here for a year while visiting, and the build up maybe killed the experience. It was lack luster, we had a smug server, slow service, grizzle filet.....I was disappointed. The highlight was the lamb lollipops. They were delicious, maybe slightly over done. I would not go back. The lamps on the bar are a cool touch.

Insane meal here. Do not miss their scallops. They are MAGICAL AND HEAVENLY. Filet Oscar style was the way to go. Parm walleye was incredible. Can't go wrong with the loaded mash potatoes either. Our service was too freaking notch. Absolute stunner meal.

In this masculine-themed steakhouse, there is value as long as you manage your expectations. For any Minneapolitans or those familiar with local and legendary steakhouse Manny's, this place is Manny's-Lite. Prices for food and drink here, on average, are about 25% less.So what does that get you? It gets you a clubby, dark and masculine environment with classic cocktails, a moderately large wine list, and a high-quality beef program. But the cost savings is noticeable because the cocktails are not quite as large, the wine list is mostly of bottles and varietals that are not highly sought after, and the beef is aged for fewer days in somewhat smaller cuts. Don't get me wrong, everything I had here was very good. But it was not over the top in volume, size, or presentation and because my steak was smaller than the highest end steakhouses I have been to, it actually looked a little dwarfish on the larger serving plate it was presented upon. It was certainly tasty and I enjoyed not having to shell out a huge amount of money so it really was a case of getting what I paid for and I walked away happy with the trade-off of less size and age for less money.Would I recommend this place and go here again? Of course, and I only have nice things to say about my time here, my meal, and the service. But if you are coming here expecting behemoth portions and a custom heritage beef program, I think you might leave slightly disappointed. I will end this review by coming full circle: this place makes for a really good meal and a nice night out. Manage your expectations accordingly and you will certainly be happy.

The first thing I would recommend with Pittsburgh Blue is to make reservations. It gets hectic if you'd like to dine there on weekends. Being our second time here, expectations were relatively high. My party of three all had steak, and it did not disappoint. I enjoyed a bite of my husband's blue cheese-crusted fillet. I am not a big fan of steak, so I had the Pistachio-Crusted Walleye with a delicious lemon-dill sauce. Br aware that portions are quite generous. We had their delicious mashed potatoes to share around the table. The dessert menu was impressive. I had their beautifully caramelized crème brûlée. Service was impeccable. I recommend Pittsburgh Blue Steakhouse for its authentic menu, ambiance, and excellent service.

This was my first time and it was not my favorite steakhouse. The service was great, like really great. I thought the asparagus was nothing special and not worth the price, same goes for the creamed spinach. The horseradish crusted filet was good, but I would say without the horseradish there wouldn't be much flavor. Obviously the bread was delish. The loaded mashed potatoes were served cold, they corrected it and they were good. My husband's sirloin had a nutty flavor that wasn't bad but it wasn't fantastic. I'm not going to rush back.

I couldn't wait to return to PB, as I love their classy restaurant with excellent servers . . Always! And the food couldn't be better. Six of us started with an onion ring stack, moved on to Prime Rib Sandwich with fries, Turkey Burger no bun, Lobster Mac n Cheese, French Onion Soup and my favorite, Seafood Salad. No leftovers, so that tells you to go!

Yummy mid-day lunch! We was seated and quickly greeted by our server. He was well-versed with the wine selection, and made a good suggestion with which I was happy. He checked back several times until we were ready to order. Salt bread started the meal, and it was delicious! Should you visit, plan to save room for a bite of this! My friend got a seafood dish and said it was delicious. I got French onion soup which had a rich, beefy onion flavor. The portion size was a bit small for the price, so value was less than ideal, but the flavor was great. Ambiance was Edina-average. Nothing overly impressive, and to be fair, the restaurant was slow at the time. We were seated in a booth out of the way, so there wasn't much of a view of anything except a 12-year-old's birthday party. Evening time and happy hour likely bring in a more lively crowd. Overall, I'll definitely return. Steak is next! Can't wait.

After a disappointing stop at Ichiban Sushi, we were greeted right away at the host stand and got right in for outside seating in the patio. We got our waters right away and our server Sara was prompt and courteous. She even allowed us to order from the happy hour menu even though we only have like a couple minutes left. We got our food orders in and our drinks in and she was super cool with the happy hour menu order and brought out our drinks right away. Food was great service was awesome ambience was wonderful it wasn't very loud we were able to come first. We are both very full from the appetizer entrees we ordered. Very reasonable for the two of us with the four apps and four glasses of wine so definitely will come back for happy hour at Pittsburgh Blue
