It was a girl's night out. A coworker heard about this play ( Christmas with the Campbell's) and wanted to check it out. So a group of us made it a thing. We parked on street, across the street so I am unsure of parking availability. Once inside, I noticed two nice sitting areas. One just inside the door, let's call it the lobby. The other was in a separate room adjacent to the lobby. Let's call it the bar. There was a simple counter where you could purchase prebottled alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and snacks. On the lobby side, the "ticket office" was just in front of the entrance into the theater ( the room were the acting occurs). It was smaller than I expected. 5 rows of sturdy, cushioned chairs. Ones that you would find in a high quality banquet venue. Comfy yet stackable. No assigned seating so first come, first serve. There were also small tables spread about so if you sat near one, you had a place to set your beverage or snack.Every seat is a good seat. Great lighting and sound. Great acting...really great acting. I've been to many "Broadway Across America" and high school productions, not many small local theaters. I wasn't really sure what kind of performance I was going to get. You guys did a wonderful job! And it was funny. I didn't know too much of the background of the theater. It was nice to be welcomed by the owner of the company and get a bit of knowledge of the ladies running it with her....a company run by women, producing plays for and about women! I hope to be back to see more.

Hosts phenomenal world class events & the sound & lighting are able to do quality justice. A community asset & grateful for the venue that is clean, easily accessible, free parking in neighborhood, great many restaurants nearby. Just saw one of the most memorable performances I've seen in years.

I have seen a few shows here and became and instant fan. The theater is intimate but you aren't squished together next to other people and they have drinks and snacks in the lobby area. All the shows I have seen are sliding scale pricing which is amazing. I haven't had trouble parking either so there isn't any reason to not attend a show here.

I like coming here for some shows. It looks better now than it did when it was still Brave New Workshop. They show a good variety of plays such as musical, comedy, and drama. There are some productions that get a little political and activist, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Most of them are small productions, compared to The Guthrie, which again isn't necessarily a bad thing. Some plays are better than others, It depends on who's putting it on. Most of them are fun and entertaining to watch. One way or another, they seem to put some effort and time into their productions. The place is clean, and the people are friendly. I love that they have a drink area for if I get thirsty. They're a little spendy, but the area looks nice.

We shot a Z Fest film here over 2 days . Really liked the place . Its ideal for a short film shoot and the ambience is really good . Haven't watched anything live yet but will drop by sometime soon. The green room is very spacious and they have some other preparation rooms downstairs.

Great Venue. I loved the space and it has so much growing potential. Its a large space and they could do so much more with the space than they have done. It used to be the Brave Workshop Theater and I do not think the new crew has had a lot of time to do anything so I will give them a break. It was freezing cold inside the theater but that seems to be the usual charm of these small independent theaters. The people working there were super duper nice and energetic. They really have a nice area where they could have concessions, coffee, etc. Lots of cute bistro style tables with brightly colored chairs makes it a cool, funky, place that you want to hang out in. Street Parking might be difficult on the weekends but mid week, I had no problem finding a parking spot free on Hennepin. The production I saw here was excellent! I was familiar with a few of the actors and they are top notch. I really enjoyed my night. I will definitely come back to see more shows

My visit to the Phoenix Theater this afternoon was the best. The staff was ready to handle the Fringe Festival crowd and "Madame Executioner" was full of talented actors and actresses, some holding dual roles in this brilliantly written short play! Kudos to all the talent.
