Pho MN Stillwater

Food: we had the lunch special with the eggroll, fried rice, and general tso's chicken along with springrolls and strawberry bubble teaThe eggroll was decent and the fried rice was great but the chicken had an aweful texture and the sauce was overpowering. The spring rolls are meh with the bubble tea being this weird frozen smoothy thing with frozen boba that tastes like pure bubble gum. And last of all the water tastes like chlorine.Service: ok, nothing out of the ordinaryAmbiance: a bit run down looking with grime and stains on the walls and ceiling.

We were so excited to see that they had gluten free-- but it just came without sauce. We were so disappointed.

Food is great- except chow mein. Service is good. Ambience non existent. Please don't order the bubble tea. It's terrible. Like frozen Pepto Bismal.

We were in the area and wanted to try this place out. The host was tending to another customer, so I waited behind them patiently. He didn't acknowledge me at all-- assuming that he was busy, however-- another couple walked in, they were white, and he quickly acknowledged and ushered them to a table. In this day and age, if you want to be in the service industry, you need to acknowledge all of your customers regardless of their skin tone. I walked out.

This place was super clean and the service was friendly, so I thought there was no way the food was gonna be great. That trifecta is just too hard to find. But hells bells, here we are! Their broth was very good! It was fatty enough without being greazy. I don't go to Stillwater, like ever, but I may reconsider my frequency for this place. Their pho is exactly what you need on a cold day, or a hot day.

We came in before the dinner rush and we're seated and served right away which is always amazing when you're hungry. Our waitress was super nice. We ordered the two different egg rolls the house version and the 'regular' I prefer the regular but my kids enjoyed the house version which is fried in rice paper. We also enjoyed the dumplings - kids voted for fried after trying fried I definitely prefer steamed dumplings. My chicken pho was delicious, very good broth. Hubs ordered a curry dish and it was so bland he passed up on eating his meal and shared with me.

Quick service. Booth seating. Lots of choices on the menu for Chinese, Thai and pho. We got the rare beef pho. Bowl sizes are huge. It was good. My husband thought the broth was too garlicky tho.

Went to Pho Mai today which I believe is changing their name to Pho MN. Had the rare steak pho and it was pretty good. Just wish there was some background music at the restaurant otherwise I'm looking forward to trying other food options. Will definitely be back.

We just had our second experience at Pho Mai, both times our food was great! Fresh, hot and great portion sizes. My family had pho and I had the mock duck with mixed vegetables. Things didn't come out at the same time, but the server made it right, and was very friendly. My kids highly recommend the jasmine milk tea as well.I have to mention, the first time we came here, the woman in the booth behind us (dining alone, been there so I get it's boring) was legit watching a tv show on her phone, NO HEADPHONES, OUT LOUD!?! What kind of person does that?

Customer services is poor. I had to explain couple times what I want. Water is not good at all. Good, if they would bring bottle of 0.5l water. Prices are pretty high. Interior is nice and cozy. Food is good as well. I had pho soup and fried egg rolls. 3/5 because of nice interior and good food
