A popular Vietnamese restaurant in Dinkytown. Lots of college students due to the nearby university and the ambience is appropriately casual. There may a line out the door depending on when you go. Service was friendly and efficient given the crowd.I tried the broken rice and pork dish and the pho special (dac biet). We also ordered the appetizer sampler and fried rice. The pho was pretty good; I didn't have to add anything to the broth in order to get it to my liking. Fried rice was ok. The meat on the rice plate was tender and well seasoned, and I liked the large portion of cucumber and carrots that came with it. However, the rice was a bit too moist. On the appetizer plate, I liked that the spring roll came with a crunchy egg roll wrapper inside for extra crunch and flavor, but I felt that maybe more meat and less noodles would have made it better. Recommend if you're in the area and craving Vietnamese food.

This place was recommended by my Lyft driver, and it was delicious. The service was friendly, the food came out quickly, and it had everything I wanted my bowl of pho to be. Large portion sizes, perfectly cooked tendon, and soul-warming broth. They also included a large plate of veggies to add (all the typical stuff - basil, bean sprouts, lime, jalapeño). The establishment was clean and they had a good playlist rotating. A very enjoyable experience. I will definitely be back for more.

Being the last hour of business half the restaurant was sectioned off. No big deal not big on decor anyway. Their pho ( lean beef plus veggies) is outstanding. The egg rolls are amazing and the portions are huge. Had to ask for water refills but who cares.

Nice student-friendly Pho and Bahn Mi spot on 14th Ave in Dinkytown. Parking was a bit of a challenge on Sunday evening , but we got lucky on our second loop around the block and got a spot right around the corner. The interior was bright and full of students and service was prompt. We ordered the Eggrolls, Bun Cha Gio Thit Nuong and Pho, all of which was very tasty. It looks like it is owned by the same family that owns MT Noodles - one of my favs. Would recommend if you need a Pho fix and are in the area.

Exactly what I wanted! Large pho was enormous and the broth was really flavorful. The sesame chicken was really good. Visiting from Chicago, this was a lucky find.

Like coming together with a long lost friend. That is what my taste buds said when I tasted this restaurant's pho. Clean restaurant . Reasonably priced and delicious. Close walk from our hotel and the football stadiumEdit: The morning after has me thinking even more. Normally in the evening and I night I get "pho thirst". If you have had pho you know what I mean. However this pho did not leave my mouth dry as a desert at night. I've had tons of beef pho throughout Chicago and in LA, Denver, Dallas, Orlando. This could be the best pho in all of America.

Service was absolutely excellent. Staff was attentive and friendly. Plus, the food came out really fast. However, my combination beef pho was only moderately hot temp wise I'm guessing because there wasn't enough room in the small bowl for the hot broth and it was a little oiler and sweeter in flavor than I'm used to. I did love their fried Vietnamese egg rolls. Crispy deliciousness!

Service was pretty fast as it wasn't busy when we were there. We liked the food (not our favorite Pho in the twin cities but it was good) and the Vietnamese Coffee tasted great. The inside was a bit cramped and smaller than expected. Parking can also be an issue due to the area. Overall a nice option for food if you're in the area but not a place to travel to just for the food.

Can never go wrong with Pho Mai, whether in Dinkytown or at the Asia Mall in Eden Prarie.Craving for pho last night led me to pick up takeout in Dinkytown. Ordered pho tofu and veggie spring rolls with extra peanut sauce. Broth was separate from the rice noodles and tofu so it wouldn't get soggy. Definitely hit the spot. Loved the two veggie spring rolls and peanut sauce. Another favorite of mine. Only downside is that I had to call my order in. The online order app kept rejecting four different credit cards I use all the time. Was very frustrating. Thankfully was hungry enough to call it in. Technology is not always convenient.
