Pappageorge Restaurant & Bar

Pappageorge is a traditional supper club style restaurant that has consistently good food. Don't let the lack luster curb appeal of the building fool you. My favorite dishes are the mushroom ravioli and the turkey and swiss sandwich. Cocktails are hit and miss. Some are good and some are meh. Service is always good, even when they're busy.

We were in town from the cities and found this hidden gem. The food was phenomenal and the service was excellent! Highly recommend the filet mignon!

The food we had was excellent in the way it was prepared and in its presentation. The Wild Mushroom Ravoli also had 2 medallions of Filet Mignon, I would guess about 4-6 ounces, and they were done to perfection!It was so nice to sit at a table with cloth tablecloths and napkins. I believe they elevated the dining experience. We will definitely return for another special occasion meal!!

But there's nothin' more appropriate than a rated-PG pun for Pappageorge's... ;)After a lil' alliteration, here's the lineup: Fish And Chips -- Hand battered Cod with fries and slaw Black And Blue Burger -- Cajun and Bleu cheesePappageorge Pizza -- Garlic, olive oil base, feta, mozzarella, kalamato, pepperocini, tomato, oreganoFrom Pappageorge's in Mankato I had the burger, and I'll say it was sensational. The blue cheese brought the funk while the cajun seasoning contributed the capsaicin. It was a unique spicy-n-savory symphony for adventurous eater. And this applies to all the dishes with fries--these were absolutely amazing. They weren't from-the-freezer failures, but rather golden brown, crispy, and delightful. I'd eat a basket of 'em on their own! Fish and chips were flaky and light. Not too greasy, full of flavor and fried to perfection. Paired with such heavenly fries, this was a potently perfect combo.The Pizza was rich with Italian flavors, very cheesy and filling. If you like olive oil and garlic, you won't get sick of this appetizer. Great to share... or devour on your own Very fair prices, excellent variety, and elegant vibes at this place! Give it a try with a close friend to for a night of catching up.

My go to spot for steak in Mankato! Food is always delicious, the atmosphere is cozy and quaint and the service is always top notch. I recommend Papa George to all my friends and family looking for a great steak!

Gourmet food! The price is worth it! You will get great friendly fast service! You will have to make reservations sometimes because of how busy it can get but do it! They have amazing dinner specials and the softest dinner rolls! They have candle lit tables and the atmosphere is more on the fancy side!

Great food, great service, and relaxing ambiance to enjoy a meal. Highly recommend this place for your next meal.

The steaks are nothing special. I feel like I could do better at home with grocery store cuts.

Service was horrible ,food was not great and way to pricey. Ambience was dark and dreary with put you asleep music. No wonder it's a senior citizen hang out.
