Oyama Sushi

Very impressive sushi for a suburban strip mall. The space is modern but comfortable. Service is excellent. Their special roll selection is extensive and very creative (26 options!). Besides the usual, they have quite a few combinations that most suburban sushi places don't offer. The Pink Flamingo Roll with tempura lobster and pink soybean paper was very good. Everything we had was tightly rolled, sliced to right size, and looked great. There was a decently priced selection of nice Sake choices as well.

What a delicious find in Plymouth! My boyfriend and I had just gotten home from a trip and needed a quick bite, so we ordered delivery from Oyama. Make sure to order from their website directly - it's cheaper than through the Door Dash app.My boyfriend ordered the Rainbow Roll & Spicy Salmon Roll. He said they were tasty. We shared the Chicken Fried Rice and it hit the spot - it wasn't too greasy either which I liked.I had the Fresh Thai Spring Roll and Coconut Curry Soup and both were delicious. I loved how light the spring roll was, and it came with a tasty sauce. The soup was warm and had a bit of a kick, very coconutty which I liked. We will definitely be eating here again!

One of the best "bang for your buck" sushi places in the cities! As you can see, the cuts of sashimi are huge. I was honestly kind of disappointed with the Unami for how expensive it was but everything else was delicious. The restaurant was pretty empty when we went for dinner on a weekday night so the service was expectedly pretty quick!The place itself isn't anything special, kind of a standard restaurant, but clean and inviting!

A friend and I went here on a Wednesday night, it seemed pretty slow, I think there may have been two other seated tables. We had prompt service. We ordered a few rolls and the calamari, I was disappointed finding a hair in the calamari at the start of our meal, which did make me a tad anxious for the rest of our meal. Now I have been here a few other times in recent years and have had no complaints, but maybe the tides have turned here.

Solid delicious sushi. Twins roll every time. All the others good too friendly fast service.

My husband and I stopped in on a Friday night. Service was speedy and the food was decent. The space itself wasn't the most exciting ambiance but it's Plymouth so wasn't expecting it to be professionally designed by any means. It just was a little odd to be dining in with one of the tables in the dining room being gawd for the takeout orders...just perhaps a better place to get takeout from rather than dine in next time. We started with the crab rangoons which were okay. The filling was good but the dough was a bit bland/not as crispy as I like my wontons. My husband had shrimp fried rice for his entree and we both split sushi. The rice was a little bland but with a little extra soy and Sriracha and it was good. The sushi has very generous portions of the ingredients but the rolls were a little too large and kind of broke apart because they weren't rolled tightly enough. Overall I don't know that we'll make it a point to go back but I wouldn't avoid it and would say their value, staff politeness and sushi fish quality was all good.

The fish quality here has gone downhill significantly over the past year. Our rolls smelled and tasted very fishy all around, and another big tell for me was the salmon sashimi having none of its natural sweetness whatsoever. These are all solid indications of fish about to go bad. Additionally, there was white paper/tape all over the menu covering up different parts, items they no longer carry I imagine due to cost.I have a suspicion that this place is cutting corners everywhere possible to try and survive. Unfortunately, that usually means it is the beginning of the end for an establishment. Sushi is not a budget food category, not when health and safety and flavor all ride on having excellent fish quality. I cannot recommend eating here.

Came in the other night for dinner. Service was fast, server was friendly no complaints on that front. We usually get gyoza, wontons or egg rolls for an app and wanted to try something different. I love calamari and this was some of the worst I have had. It was dry and chewy 1/5 would not recommend to any. Sushi came out quickly and nice portion size. Flaming Alaska was good we requested jalapeño be added as server informed us none of their rolls really have a kick to it. 3/5. The Royal dragon I missed the eel potion. Just not a persona fan so do not feel that it is my right to give it a rating. Great service just unimpressed with dinner

Wanted to check this place out with a takeout order. The front staff person clearly indicated my order was an annoying interruption from whatever she was wanting to do at the time. Watched the chef prepare my sushi rolls as he horribly coughed and sneezed into his bare hands. No food gloves. The last time I contracted a virus was 6 years ago. No coincidence I got sick from whatever virus bug he was hacking into the food. The sushi was unremarkable, on a par with the pre-packaged stuff you can pick up at Hy-Vee for half the price. Both need a lot of wasabi and soy to add any flavor. Won't be returning.

I decided to try this place as I was in the area and sushi sounded good. I placed an order for pickup of a spicy tuna and spicy salmon roll. When I ordered there was an option to add 'extra avocado' which I didn't do because I didn't need extra. Imagine my surprise though when the roll I picked up didn't have avocado or even cucumber. It was literally fish and rice. What? If it had listed it didn't come with avocado I would've paid to add it. But how do you not even have cucumber? So disappointed with my dinner.
