Love this small theater and The Originalist playing now is a fantastic production. Timely issues in a fun production. I struggle with hearing and thrilled to understand everything Scolia said. I could get the gist of Cat's comments though a slightly slower cadence would be helpful. She is such a good actor that the meaning does come through. Despite this frustration, I say go.kudos for

I almost didn't make it in time! In fact, I was actually parked on the street and I thought a different building was the theater until I finally found the signs. It's in a really dark area by the Minneapolis impound lot but follow the signs on Chestnut! Once I found the place, all was good though. They even have someone outside giving you directions on their additional parking lot. There is a generous parking lot in front of the building plus there is street parking as well. The production I saw was fabulous, the actors were superb, and it was two hours of pure theater bliss. Everyone working or volunteering there was super friendly. They seem to have a good choice of concessions which is really nice to see at a small theater like this. Most theaters of this size you are lucky if you can grab a Diet Coke and a bag of M&Ms.The only thing I was a little nervous about were the seats. The seats are lawn chairs. They are not the cheap types of lawn chairs but nevertheless lawn chairs. The lawn chairs that slant backwards in, making me very unsure if I was going to be able to hoist myself out at the end. I don't think I was the only one feeling this way because there were a group of us who waited for the other patrons to exit prior to us trying to get ourselves out of our chairs. I do have to say a few people were unable to. They did have a few workers going around asking people if they needed help getting out of the chairs however so kudos to them for that.I really look forward to supporting this theater in the future.

Just saw the Open Window Theatre Company's production of "Sister Calling My Name." Fantastic! I will definitely attend future shows. The theater is a bit tough to find (it's not too far from the farmer's market), but google maps got me there without a problem. Go!

Last night was our first visit to the Open Window Theatre for a comedy called "The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge". Great show. Great space. Great black box theater located just around the corner from Lee's Liquor Lounge.

Always great performances and acting. I have never seen a play that was not of the highest quality and I've seen at least 20 plays over the years.

This is the absolute best theatre in the Twin Cities. Excellent. Absolutely excellent. Attention to detail, powerful storytelling, compelling acting, clever design... you need to go see a show here. Just got back from The World Over, and 10/10 recommend. Definitely a show that is gripping as you're watching it, and leads to thoughtful discussion afterwards. Excellent excellent excellent.

First time back with the new location, not as close for me but not a bad drive. The two shows I've seen Scrutinies and Lolek are awesome productions. I've seen several plays in the past and look forward to more C.S. Lewis like in the past. Love the new theater, much nicer building and safe parking. I never a member so I get to every show. I usually bring one or two guests.

I've been to several productions at Open Window Theater and have really liked their choice in plays. They are producing positive messages and beautiful stories of hope, redemption, and courage in a world where we too often hear the opposite. I have seen first hand how their plays impact people's lives for the better. They also produce highly professional work! Very well done and enjoyable evenings!
