Number 4 Steakhouse

The finest in Mankato, though I prefer the old menu with many small plate options. (They are more a steakhouse now). Food is always delicious (Appetizers, desserts, cocktails, and unique non-steak options.) Top-notch waitstaff and bartenders who are knowledgeable and attentive. Our favorite for special occasions.

Number 4 brought back brunch and I couldn't have been more excited. The complementary cinnamon roll was delightful. The lobster bisque was amazing, I would go back just for a bowl. I had a salad that was fresh and tasty and my husband had steak frites. His steak was slightly over seared; it tasted burnt. Our girls had the traditional breakfast kids meal. Our waitress was wonderful and patient as we looked over the new menu. I was bummed they didn't have their weekender special they used to have, maybe they will still bring it back.

We walked in, sat at the bar and the energy was amazing. All the bartenders are super nice. They were so friendly. I had a great time chatting with them. The food is so superb. I had king crab legs, and a lobster bisque while my friends had the same . Not to mention the drinks were on point. I do recommend this business. It is amazing and I will be coming back.

I've been here a few times, but finally reviewed it. The service is always outstanding. And I think their steakhouse Caesar salad might be the best Caesar that I've ever had. The charred romaine elevates the dish and the dressing is very parm forward, which I favor. The blackening on the steak is just right. I was a little apprehensive about the cheese curds because they have a dill honey glaze on them, however, they were so damn good. Just the right mix of sweet and savory. Truly a gem in Southern Minnesota.

The service was good. Attentive and available. The bartender was personable and new his way around a good margarita. The asparagus fries and the cheese curds are a must. Definitely tasty. The pasta could have been a little more seasoned. The noodles with the sauce had no flavor. The scallops had sprinkles of salt. The dish lacked in an overallFlavor. The seating areas are very spacious and the restaurant had a great ambiance. I like the way they have the floor and tables laid out.

Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a nice restaurant in Mankato! I had a dirty martini, lobster bisque, aperol spritz, and the steak salad which were all really good. The lobster bisque tasted somewhat artificial but it was still very enjoyable. We sat at the bar and had super quick (and very friendly!!) staff serving us. Would definitely return!

Great ambiance in this fine establishment. Professional and courteous waitstaff. Friendly and helpful with honest crevices of the menu. The drink list is extensive with a variety to suit most anyone. The food was very good and the plating is fantastic as well. Dessert was exceptional (highly recommend the crème brûlée! If you're looking for fine dining in Mankato, this makes the top 5!

We found this nice place while spending the weekend in town. My husband enjoyed his steak penne meal. I enjoyed my filet, but it was very undercooked when I ordered medium rare. The spices it was cooked in was really flavorful, I just had to ask them to take it back to cook a little longer. We also enjoyed our carrot cake for dessert! Make sure you share this with someone as the desserts are 1 lb each!! We will definitely go back!

This is a must go to restaurant!!!Great food. I have dined here several times it's all great!!! The wine options are amazing. The servers are exceptional!! Great job folks!

I decided it was going to be a steak night! So I picked this place out of the blue, drove up and found lots of cars around the building! Number 4 Exceeded my expectations! The wait staff were amazing!!! Very friendly and personable, even though I came from work, in my work clothes ( I work outside: not terribly dirty, but not business suit attire ) . My steak was cooked awesomely well, great flavor!! And I chose no mushrooms or any other "topping" because I wanted to taste the meat as well as the chefs talents . It was done very well! The asparagus was delicious as well. I also was very impressed with the waitress, she was back to my table within 20 seconds of me finishing my meal and my pushing the dinner plate into the center of the table!! Again I can't stress how good all the wait staff were! I will be back the next time I am in Mankato.
