Northern Taphouse

My boyfriend and I went to the northern Taphouse on a Thursday night around 7:00. It was busy and we had a short wait for a table. There wasn't a ton of space to wait for a table, but we were able to play some pull tabs to pass the time. Once we were seated, the service was top notch. I had some trouble deciding between an espresso martini and a caramel White Russian, our server, Emma, was incredible! She was patient with my indecisiveness and helped me select the espresso martini (hugs to her for that because it was PHENOMENAL) we also ordered the dill cheese curds to start and I wanted to cry when we finished the plate, calling them delicious doesn't even touch how incredible they were. If I were to choose my last meal, it would be a bathtub full of those cheese curds. When it came time to chose the entrees, I once again had to rely on Emma's expertise, man, I would trust that girl with my life, she steered me towards the spicy honey salmon bowl, claiming it's one of her favorite dishes there. I can see why! Not only was it Instagram worthy, but the flavor was through the roof, the portion size was perfect and it was clear that the ingredients were fresh. My boyfriend got the wing special (.99 wings) and waffle fries and he raved about his meal as well. All of the staff were friendly and polite, the restaurant was very clean despite how busy it was and service was incredibly fast! Overall 100/10 we will absolutely be back. Next time I plan on trying the street corn pizza

I ordered the Bloody Mary of the month because why not?! In all honesty I did not expect it to be good. I was wrong! The pretzel was warm and soft. The slider was delicious! The fried brat pieces were super tasty and the schnitzel was awesome. All of the food in the bloody was surprisingly good! The drink itself was fine. It worked as a complete meal. I had leftovers! The only gripe was that the restaurant was absolutely freezing. I could see that even some of the servers were cold. The service was fast and friendly.

We were greeted by Abby, one of the hosts, who had a great smile and greeting for us. Alexis was our server and also pleasantly greeted us quickly after we were seated and got us our drinks and took our order also quite quicklyWe had the Ahi Tuna Bites and some buffalo boneless wings to start. Both were good but I wish the Ahi bites had a blackened spice seared onto it. The wings are solid with good flavor. Next up was the brown sugar bacon burger, Nashville hot chicken sandwich, and jalapeño infused cheddar bacon burger. Both the burgers were good. Decent size and flavor. The hot chicken sandwich was ok. Hard to beat the original from down south!!Overall this place has become another restaurant in our rotation of favorite places to eat.They have a waitlist option on the Yelp app and I highly recommend it if you plan on coming at a busy time of day.

We were craving a big Bloody Mary on Super Bowl Sunday. A quick Google search brought us to Northern Taphouse. They have a different Bloody Mary theme/flavor every month. They also have classic Bloody Mary options. This one was called the "Mother Clucker" and was filled with chicken wings, chicken tenders, hush puppies, and a classic skewer with cheese, beef stick, and veggies. I wish this Bloody Mary mix had a bit more spice. The bartender was super helpful and upbeat. Plenty of TVs everywhere so it's definitely a fun place to watch sports. We are looking forward to trying the new Bloody Mary flavor next month!

Highly recommend putting in your name ahead of time via the virtual waitlist. This place is usually packed. We've always had really good service!Drinks: The Bloody Mary meals are really fun and I am a fan of their Espresso Martini. The beer list has a nice mix of local craft brews, too.Food: I haven't found anything on the menu that I'm super impressed by, but nothing is bad. If I was to recommend an order I'd say the smash burger with truffle fries (garlic aioli) and if you want an app try the dill pickle cheese curds. Husband likes the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich.

My partner and I came here the night of a timberwolves playoff game and it was packed. We added our names to the waitlist so when we arrived we only had to wait ten minutes of so. We started off with the monthly specialty Bloody Mary. This one was Cinco De Mayo themed loaded with so much good food. The actual Bloody Mary drink part is just okay. I had a pizza for dinner. It was okay. I probably would get something else the next time. Overall, the service was great and food was good. Definitely will be returning!

I do not remember the gentleman that served us but he had face piercings. He was friendly, patient, helpful, and professional. We ordered the ahi tuna bites and they were amazing just like their other restaurants. I ordered the chicken salad, and my Fiance ordered the turkey Bahn mi. The food was great, and the restaurant including the bathrooms was clean. Everyone greeted us with a smile from the gal who opened the main door when we arrived, to the manager who checked on us to the gal who held the door when we exited the restaurant. I'll definitely return, so glad to have another great restaurant in Woodbury!!

I would say top of 10 rates! It is excellent food! I am not crazy about hamburgers at other restaurants. But This best hamburger ever!! Yum

Very bad and rude management, and they were rolling silverware next to overfilled trash cans. Very unhygienic and hostile service. Would not recommend anyone to visit this location.

Love their monthly specialty Bloody Mary's ... they are lunch in themselves ! Nummm The food is delicious, also!
