So HAPPY to find a co-op in my hood! I don't have to go all the way to Minneapolis now to the Wedge. The finds here are awesome and comparable to the other Co-Ops and even to Whole Foods! 50% off on Wednesdays for produce is so awesome! Also their little deli, Wendy's House of Soul offers unique and delicious food. They also offer zumba dance fitness classes which is donation based and community cooking classes here. Awesome!

I took a cooking class here. I really like this grocery store. They have some really good deals. On Wednesday they have 50% off all their produce either organic or non. They rent out their community room for people doing cooking classes and fitness classes. I really love how much they give back to the community. I'll have to shop more here. Have not bought groceries here yet, but I have taken several classes at this location.

Cute, smaller grocery store. First time I went to North Market was to actually check out Wendy's House of Soul (which is located inside the grocery store). While waiting for our order we did walk around and browse the store. They offer the same thing things as other chain grocery store but it's more of a peaceful, less chaotic shopping experience. I liked that I could find snacks there that I really only find in corner stores as well. Store overall was clean, the parking lot was as well. I've been back a few times to grab snacks and little things here & there. Staff at the front end were nice as well.

Just moved to the area, and this is a nice accessible grocery store with prices comparable to Aldi. I think the goal was to have healthy food options for those that are low income in North. It looks like they get some of the extras from other larger grocery store brands. I've purchased everything here from produce to deli items, snacks, and frozen foods. They are all decent quality, however, if you buy produce be prepared to eat it same day or within the week. Personally, if I'm buying avocados I want them to be edible immediately, and these are usually ready to go!Very friendly staff and cashiers, chill environment, and trendy branding. Great find, and I love swinging by to pick up dinner items on my way home! Full parking lot, grocery bags provided, you bag yourself unless it's slow and they have two people on one register.

I really wanted to enjoy my experience at the North Market... the concept is amazing and a grocery store in that neighborhood is very needed. I really hope they stay in business.I went for a summertime BBQ event, which had live music, amazing BBQ, a lot of ppl and I will definitely come back if they continue this annually. It was the only reason I stopped by and shopped at the North Market. It was very empty, as far as ppl. Stocked though with the items they do carry. My favorite part was the meat market. The gentleman working was very kind, helpful and offered to cut what I needed. He was chatting with other ppl within the community and showed himself friendly.. which made you want to come back. My ONLY issue was the much older woman who rung me up. She never spoke to me one time. I received not a hello, did you find everything, have a great day.. nothing. I assumed, since I look young, that she felt she could dismiss customer service and that it was possible it would be wasted on me. LOL She was busy gossiping with another woman she was familiar with, possibly a frequent shopper, to say anything to me. At the end of our awkward transaction, I told her thank you and that I appreciated her wonderful customer service... to which she laughed. *insert black stare*Anywho... my experience with her doesn't make me want to drive out of my way to shop there, however my experience with guy in the meat dept does... however, you usually only remember poor experiences. I'll give them another try, if they haven't closed before I decide to re-visit, from the older womans poor customer service.

I'm very glad that this store is in my neighborhood, and that they are seeking to improve the lives of People of Color. I'd originally found the place right before it opened when I got lost in my new neighborhood. I could not remember the name of it, so I searched Yelp until I found it again. When I entered the produce section, I happened to notice that there was a yoga class happening nearby. I smiled and felt a little jealous of the participants because my flexibility to do even a basic pose is wanting. The store is small and easy to navigate. North Market is refreshingly clean and without advertisements from national companies. The selection is a mix of small companies providing organic, sustainable foods, and the giant agri-businesses one would expect in a grocery store. The relaxed atmosphere was great to experience, especially as I didn't really want to be in a store at all. Since there wasn't really any food in the house, I figured that I'd better get something. I bought some sambusa (crazy-delicious, gluttony-inducing morsels they are), some chicken pupusa, cans of tuna (wild, line caught), some Bai, and some organic, cage-free eggs. The total spent was just under $45. Yes, I know that this sounds like much, and maybe it was. Other than the Bai, everything was organic and small-batch foods. And, I'm the woman who's paid $15 for an organic, seeded watermelon (I don't eat those gross seedless things). I felt good about my purchases. The young lady at the register was friendly and noticed that I'm left handed. She said that she wished that she were left handed. I told her that my son is the aberration because he's right handed. His dad and sister are left handed, like me. We laughed and said good night.I will be back. I'm very glad that this place exists.

Neighborhood gem for folks in North. Prices can be high on some items but half price produce on Wednesdays is a great deal.

What an awesome idea by Pillsbury United Communities, a grocery store & community center in the food desert of North Minneapolis. Before the market opened, you either had to go all the way up to W Broadway or out to the burbs to find the nearest grocery store. The store itself is immaculate & nicely laid out. The aisles are named after major streets through N MPLS! There is a small deli and hot foods area as well. They seem to be stocked by Supervalu as all the generics are the same brand as Cub. Only complaint is that they're a little more spendy. They have a cornered market here, and should really cater to the clientele by offering more reasonable prices. PS, my cashier, Krystal was super friendly & conversational.

Poor Management. We had 50%off produce Wed and Now its 25% as of June 2024. They always put a huge sign at the door to inform customers of the sale. But today Manager is being deceptive and made no sign. People had to learn at the counter the produce was decreased to only 25%ff while manager cuddled up with another female employee in the back and not helping ring up the long line of customers. Once again, this store is on the decline due to garbage leadership.
