New Panda House

New panda house is a small mom and pop place. It's pick up only, but in a great location on Winnetka. The food was hot and fresh, but underwhelmingly bland. Maybe we went on a bad night since most of the recent Google reviews are quite positive.

Fried rice was decent. I ordered delivery via Door Dash so I can't comment on the service or ambiance. Cream cheese puffs were decent.

I was very surprised when i found this spot. I have read the reviews and most of them give negative feedback due to take out issues. My visit was about eating at the establishment. The location is designed more of a takeout spot but they do have 4 tables that you can eat at. The location has a basic clean going on (wipe down tables, sweep floor, no visible trash) but does have things around the door that have not been dusted for probably a year lol. Now to get to the food (which matters the most). I loved it! One of my favorite dishes is egg foo young shrimp and they actually made it right! Most places do not cook it the correct way. The orange chicken with rice was also great. I suggest giving this place a try.

August, 16, 2023. They don't deliver anymore . Called to place an order and they said you pick it up or use Door Dash. So, I told them never mind.

Our household's go-to Chinese restaurant! We order delivery or take-out from here at least twice per month. Not sure about all the bad reviews, we have never had a bad experience. Best cream cheese wontons, ever! Fast take away prep and great prices. Conveniently located, as well.

First time ordering, food was delicious! Only thing wrong was missing wontons from our order but I've had way worse service elsewhere.

The only good thing about this place was the cashier was friendly. The food is not good!! I got hot & spicy chicken, hot and spicy shrimp, cheese puffs, and beef fried rice for $33. The pricing isn't bad but it wasn't worth it. The cheese puffs are great. On the other hand, the meat seems undercooked and they throw a bunch of veggies instead of giving you meat (like what your order)! Honestly, I'm glad I didn't get a lot of meat because its horrible. The chicken is cut into thin strips and barely has any flavor. It's not even spicy. The shrimp has an overly fishy taste like it's old. And when you chew it, the texture is odd.. almost like rubber. The fried rice was your standard fried rice - not terrible. Needless to say, I won't be back here.

Not sure why there are so many bad reviews on this place. The food is great in my opinion and this is one of the better options for takeout in the area. Their service can be a bit slow on some days due to staffing but it's hard to hold that against them. Large menu, great variety. I recommend their cream cheese wontons and garlic sauce. Decent vegetarian options as well. Good and consistent quality food
