Food was surprisingly tasty for a fake Chinese restaurant. The server cleaned out used dishes super fast. Lots of selections at the buffet. You need to pay before you sit down for your meal, and max amount of time to eat is 2 hours. Easy parking.

Wish I didn't have to wait for the walnut shrimp, one of their delicious classic dishes. Wish they would hand make their cream cheese wontons

Not good anymore. Food was either dry or cold or old. It was a vey hard to communicate with the man on the grill because he didn't speak English

I got food poisoning from their seafood. Service is bad and $17.15 is way too expensive for their quality of food.

Service was extremely efficient. Servers were over immediately to ask what we wanted to drink, and plates were always removed without me even noticing. I was surprised by the quality of the food here based on how cheap it is ($10.79 for adults!) and how negative the reviews are. The restaurant is very spacious, our seats were comfortable, and everything was clean. Most importantly, the food was delicious. Everything was hot and quality was consistent. I'm probably going to have dreams about the walnut shrimp tonight. If you haven't been here before, you should really consider giving this place a try. I got so stuck on a couple great dishes, I didn't even get to try everything (pho, sushi, etc.) before I got full. It's even better than what I remembered as a kid-- I'm definitely coming back again soon.

I have been to this establishment for 20 years, although the service have gone down quite a bit, like missing the self-serving ice cream machine, and the tasty meaty eggrolls. The rest of the food still taste as good as my first time. Plates are super clean as always too. Servers here remembers your favorite drinks too. Very dedicated!

New King Buffet in Brooklyn Center, MN.Avoid with a passion. Their reviews reflect this too.It used to be our favorite place. Good food and selection. That changed tonight when I asked for some napkins to take into the bathroom so I could wash up after work. (I work outside and was covered in dust, and there is only a blow dryer in the bathroom, no paper towels.)I asked for some napkins from a couple of employees folding napkins onto silverware. They offered me one. I asked for more. They said use the little ones, pointing to the table dispenser. She opened one of the paper towels and said, see, big."I showed them my dirty hands and motioned washing my face, and asked for one more. She gave me one more, and as I was walking to the bathroom I heard her call out, "Idiot."I looked back and said, "Idiot??"She looked taken aback and quickly said, "sorry sorry."Too late. I talked to the hostess and relayed the above story, and told them I didn't appreciate being insulted by the employee, especially since we are loyal customers and visit once every week or two between 3 adults."No free food, manager on vacation. I'm sorry," the hostess. By this time we are center stage, I'm not yelling but I'm livid and the whole place is looking at us as my partner steps in and I leave the store because I'm furious. I go back in to get idiots name, hostess's name, and managers name, again not yelling but direct. "Manager doesn't take calls," she said."I'll call here when he comes back," I said."Manager is on vacation," she said."What is his/her name?" I ask.Suddenly I'm being handed a cell phone. It was the manager. He apologized and told me that I got my apology and he's sorry this happened. I asked if he would comp my meal. He couldn't do that because he knows the level of English the employees know and he is confident they don't the word 'idiot' in English. It must have been some Chinese word that sounds like idiot.Say what?? It was a snide comment delivered with malice."I can give 50% off one meal," the manager said.So I started from the beginning, walked him through the whole thing again, including my loyalty, and how I wasn't being belligerent, etc. Finally he breaks and offers 1 free meal. I hand the phone to the hostess and walk out without taking advantage of the free meal. I just wanted them, 'up above' to know what is going on. Twist there arm so they remember employee by behavior. Here I sit in the parking lot writing this as I say good bye to our beloved New King. Customer satisfaction needs some serious work.

This place used to be a lot better. We would often go out for Chinese food on NYE so I came here for late lunch after errands. Their takeout must be much better. They were focused on that. Pans and pans of food leaving. The buffet was neglected. The dining room practically deserted but with atmosphere of literal non stop screeching from kitchen to register it was far from pleasant. Add to that the rummage sake they've got going on at the entrance and I think the Oceans Buffet has a much more pleasant atmosphere.
