Heard about Nadia's Jamaican Kitchen form an acquaintance. It's reputation definitely proceeds them! It did not disappoint. Took my mentee for dinner, it was bomb. Ambiance 5/5 Located on the corner of a shopping area. It's replaced the $5 pizza spot. General seating is good. 2 booths and side tables that seat 2, very clean, faux trees, tantalizing smells and great atmosphere. Caribbean music, Bob Marley of course. Open kitchen family feel with bar to seating to watch your food being prepared. Service 5/5Very friendly, prompt, courteous and helpful service. Nadia herself inquired about the food and did it meet our expectations. It did!!! Food 5/5 Not cheap but worth it. We ordered Oxtails, red peas and rice, coleslaw $28 Jamaican Patty $5 Jerk Chicken $14 Rice and peas $5 drinks: $15 Overall 5/5 and would come back!

Service - excellent! So much so that we expected the food to be nasty. (IYKYK) The owner and the young men working with her (I do believe they were her grandsons) were all very pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. Rice and peas with mixed veggies entree-I always taste the rice alone first to judge the overall cooking skills. The rice made with coconut milk, definitely passed the test! It was so much food that I had enough for 2 or 3 days. And let me tell you, it tasted even better as leftovers, after the sauces and seasonings settled and soaked in. Yum! I added some jerk sauce and their Indian hot pepper sauce (Good, but whew!! Not for the weak!! lol)On Tuesdays they have specials. We tried the chips and guacamole. I wasn't expecting the chips to be homemade. They were positively delicious!Festival was good too, and the owners says they're vegan-friendly. Rasta pasta is also vegan, but it's only available on Friday and Saturday. I definitely want to try that the next time I'm in town.

Being from the Caribbean, I can proudly say that Nadia's is worth every penny! This food reminds me so much of home just due to all the love that goes into it. Everything is seasoned to the bone and I can't get enough of it. The portions are huge, enough to share between two people and I love the open kitchen concept. Being able to see your food being made is such an added benefit that makes you feel apart of the cooking experience. I love how the owner and head chef will stop by each table and chat with her customers. They have seasonal soups and those are so well made that I usually order seconds to go. The jerk chicken wings are so yummy that I can't make an order without them. Curry chicken is prepared with chicken with chicken thighs and I think it brings out the curry flavor tremendously. The curry goat is also to die for because the meat is so soft and goes well with the curry seasoning. The brown stew chicken is also good and I urge everyone to try it :)

such great service and food from Nadia's! Ordered the red snapper (available on Saturdays), the oxtail and a side of plantains and all were so incredibly good! The snapper was made right after ordering and it was worth the extra few minutes wait! Very well seasoned and cooked to be nice and flaky. We also got to sample the goat curry and we will be back to get a whole plate of that too!Ambiance had some lovely soft touches, I really like the cloth napkins and the hand towels in the bathroom. Can't beat the service! We had multiple folks checking in on us and making sure we had all we need and were enjoying our food.

Lovely Jamaican food for Minnesotan taste. Stopped by here with my friend to check out some Caribbean flair to brighten up our outlook for Spring. While there are tables and they do have plates and silverware, it seems more of a takeaway operation. Overall the food is delightful, but subdued in spice/ heat than was expecting. The lady running the joint was friendly and nice, seems like she's teaching her kids some good work ethic with running a business. Jerk Chicken: the sweetness really pops out. There's a background flavor that I always forget the name that's pretty strong and captured my attention. The meat is tender and succulent. Curried goat: also meaty and tender. Bone in to capture that flavor. The spices cover up the gamey taste. Sauce was lovely, definitely my favorite of the 2. Rice and Peas was a bit... dry in places. Flavor was good, but definitely needed to drown it in the gravy to maintain overall consistency. Side of cooked cabbage and veggies is a given and always a welcome source of crunch and fiber to accompany the meal. Overall : good portions, lovely flavors, and a friendly smile to enjoy your meal.

I have been here twice now with a two week period. We heard about it thru word of mouth and it did not disappoint. I brought my friend who is born and raised Jamaican and she thinks everything we have had has been authentic and delicious!! She was impressed by the Oxtail, crazy moist and delicious. As was the Jerk Chicken... SO GOOD. And the Red Snapper was excellent! As for the sides: Beef Pattie's, Coleslaw, Rice & Beans, plantains and Festival.... Wow! All fresh, flavorful and so yummy. The owner and all staff are great and friendly. They remembered us on our second visit. They ask how you like everything because they really care. We will be back to try Taco Tuesday!!!

My husband brought home Oxtail meals for us. Cold slaw, rice and beans are included with the meal. He ordered us sides of plantains. The plantains were ripe and prepared perfectly. The cold slaw was overly sweet. The first few bites of the oxtail were a bit salty, but decent. It seems they used white potatoes to thicken their gravy. The flavor of the potatoes is overwhelming. However, if you wait to eat it the next day, the flavor is more palatable.

Don't even think twice, this place is the real deal! Excellent, authentic food that felt healthy and not over spiced. Nice cafe atmosphere and wonderful hospitality. It was fun to be able to watch the food prepared in the open plan space and Nadia herself made point to check on us. She was as sweet and gracious as can be. We will be back!
