Omg this place is great!I'd never been here before and my sister-in-law asked me to meet her to get my opinion on a table she was considering. When I got there I could tell right away that they were not a consignment shop, all pieces are original and very unique! Prices aren't too shabby either. I have a couple photos attached but I could've spent the day. I'm still trying to figure out what pieces I can't live without but I could spend a fortune! The sales associate was friendly and not overbearing. Check it out if you're looking for some accent pieces, night stands, TV stand, tables, chairs, and bookcases. They have something for everyone: industrial, modern, post-modern, country, Southwest, rustic, anything. Very unique colors, distressed, clean finished. As you can see, I can't say enough about the place!

Nadeau is a newer store in Uptown that carries imported furniture from Asia. It kind of reminded me of the furniture department at World Market, with pretty comparable prices too. I wasn't that impressed. I stopped in with a friend who said that the selection was less inspiring than the last time she had been there, so maybe it was just an off-day. It was very crowded---not in terms of people, but in terms of the furniture. Things stacked upon things, looking like anything could be scratched and dented easily when moved around. The bulk of the merchandise is dressers, heavy consoles, armoirs, cabinets and things like that. I saw a couple of pieces that were cool, but nothing must-have. It thought it would have more accent pieces, but the smaller things seem to go fast. It would be a great place to check for larger furniture though. They had some strange art on the walls and some really amateur-looking photography prints of flowers for sale. It just didn't seem to fit with what could be a classier space.

Buyer beware--they don't take returns--EVEN for store credit, even if you pay and don't take the piece out of the space and change your mind and come back just hours later after realizing it won't fit. Which really stings considering the high prices.

This is a cool little store. Lots of different, unique and eye catching pieces. I will be going back in the future as I look for new pieces for our new house. I don't feel like the staff were particularly friendly as I don't think they even said "hi" to us when they passed and they definitely didn't ask if we need any help which would have been nice since its very "furniture crowded" in there. Furniture is piled 3-4 items tall and it is tight which I don't mind at all but I would never bring my kids back with me to the store. I was worried something would topple over if it got bumped. All-in-All...Its worth the trip, don't bring kids and don't expect anyone to come offer assistance.

Love this place! Gorgeous stuff, and surprisingly affordable. For the same price, or less, than Ikea, you can get something more beautiful, made of real wood, AND you don't have to spend a day assembling and cursing at it. :) We've gotten so many compliments on our two pieces we have from this place and didn't break the bank -- couldn't be happier.

I've read the older reviews (some not so complimentary )of when Nadeau was located in a very cramped space with nominal accessibility in Uptown Two or so years ago, they moved to a spacious showroom in Edina with ample parking and easy loading. Don't let the suburb scare you, they've maintained their casual friendly boho vibe. Under new management as of 2017, this is one of my very favorite treasure hunts! The staff is warm, knowledgeable, and helpful without being invasive. The deliciously eclectic handcrafted merchandise made of natural materials (no cheesy particle board) is creatively displayed, ever-changing, and absurdly affordable! Seriously, what's not to love?

Okay, so my rating is a little low, but I can explain.I really love this place. I could furnish my entire house with Nadeau furniture. I discovered this chain while living in Chicago and was completely obsessed. I was ecstatic when I moved back to Minneapolis and one had opened in Uptown. But.. I was disappointed. WAY too overcrowded and WAY overpriced. The Nadeau in Chicago was just as overcrowded but had a much bigger space to wander around in. And it was cheaper. I couldn't believe some of the prices on the furniture in the Uptown store.Now.. if they ever had a SALE... that's a different story. Stuff just keeps piling up in there, they've got to get rid of it somehow!

I'm a bit surprised by the negative reviews on here. I can't argue that the space wasn't crowded, there is a LOT of furniture jammed into that store, but I feel like that was part of the charm. Compared to a furniture store (Hom, Schneiderman's, PB, etc) I thought this was VERY reasonably priced and had pieces with more character--very shabby chic. Aimlessly wandered through here last weekend after breakfast at Isles buns with some friends. I am now thinking I should go back to look for a media center. And maybe a new little side table for my bedroom!

I absolutely love this furniture store and store manager Kathy is awesome to work with. Bring your measurements, photos and select carefully, many pieces are unique and will be gone if you hesitate. The sales team is very helpful, they know their stuff! I have purchased side tables, a bookcase, a buffet and an industrial style media piece for my home and love all of them. My current selection is a gorgeous carved architectural fragment that sits above my mantle between two antique sconces. The final sale policy is not unique to high turnover, unique furniture stores nationwide, and I believe it allows the prices to remain reasonable for the quality, solid wood construction. Sign up for their mailing list and get updates on new arrivals.
