This was my experience today:7:15 am I called to inquire about brake services. I was forwarded to a technician who gave me a consult, rough quote, and am 11am appointment time. 10:30 amI arrived at Murphy's and checked in with a cashier, and was connected with Dan, who serviced the car. Dan was able to take my car within 10 minutes, and took the car for a test drive and got it in the garage for an inspection.11:00amChuck came to offer me the specific fix that needed to be done on my front brakes, and advised me on the remaining life expectancy of the rear brakes. As all that was needed was the front brakes, Chuck told me I'd be out in roughly an hour. I asked if they could change the oil as well, and he agreed. I inquired on the price, and Chuck told me specifically. I inquired about with him about an ATM on site, as I would need one to do a bank transfer. Since there is no ATM there, Chuck offered me a loaner car to go take care of the banking needs. I was given the keys, and I took care of my business.12:15pmDan took the car for a test drive, and returned the vehicle right in front of me. He explained the status of the repairs done and wished me well. I paid the cashier, and was treated with kindness.12:30pmI left Murphy's.My last bit of context:Two days ago my brakes started making noises. As I'm not a mechanical kinda guy, I was nervous about what needed to happen. My wife needed to leave out of state today, and take our only car for her brother's funeral. Of the four shops I called this morning, Murphy's was the most cost-effective, and had the most pleasant demeanor over the phone. I had never been to Murphy's before, and I was concerned about being held up longer than needed to be. I was given kind, calming, and professional service throughout my entire experience. Chuck's character, as well as the character from his staff are similar to the small town I grew up in... even though we're right on the edge of the city. I'm grateful for an incredibly calming, positive, and professional experience today. I'll be back for other services, in the future as my car needs.

I was pleasantly surprised by the service I received from Murphy's. My car decided to die on me in the middle of a snow storm. Had to get it towed and my tow truck driver recommended this place. He only had good things to say. I thought the problem was a bad alternator and even told the shop this. Instead, found that the issue was a loose connection on the battery terminal. They fixed the problem and even tested the alternator to make sure there wasn't an issue. Needless to say, my cost out of pocket was less than I expected.Murphy's was honest, fair and the customer service was exceptional. I meant it when I told them that I would be back! Highly recommend!

Thanks to the recommendation of the nice folks at Advanced auto parts, I found a gem in Roseville! Customer service was friendly, up front, and a timely. I am pleased to have met not only a better price but also no upselling of things I didn't need. This happy customer will surely be back for future needs. Thank you for the quality work and people at Murphy's!

I have known chuck for over 20 years and has taken good care of tge car repairs that were outside my wheelhouse of expertise. He has always provided cost effective solutions to my car problems, even if it meant sending me to a specialty shop elsewhere. He charges a fair price to ensure a satisfactory outcome for everyone. A cheap fix is not a value if it is not a solution to a problem. Murphys are good people and I send people his way all the time. Highly recommend this business.

Disclaimer: I am a 15+ year customer of Murphys Service Center. My father and I have used this little gas station/ service shop for years and they have been honest, loyal and straightforward repairing and maintaining our older vehicles. Had my car in for new tires about two weeks ago. Chuck called with an estimate and helped me with my purchasing decision of less expensive tires. I thought I would need new struts, but after inspection Chuck talked me out of that. Great, honest shop. Not the fastest place in town, but I value honesty over speed, so this mom and pop car repair place is good people.

My mom recommended this place after she had her vehicles serviced here for many years. I decided to try it, so I had my car in for what I thought was brakes because I heard intermittent squeaking and grinding. Turns out it was just rust on my rotors and I was told I didn't need breaks now or soon. Tdlr: This is a honest service center.

We lived near Murphy's for many years and they have consistently provided what we need on the spot with a fair price. Haven't had major repairs done, but emergency bent wheel, they straightened, fixing a flat on a big RV, always fair, prompt and friendly. I trust this place. Particularly that they would not overcharge.

Highly recommend. First off, the reason I went here is because they were more polite on the phone than a couple other rude sounding local mechanics. They were open to take on my project right away, gave a rental car, and finished quickly for the best price.

I have brought my car here twice- once for new tires and once because my AC wasn't working. The staff is very friendly, and they clearly explain their repairs. They don't try to upsell you on products and services you don't need or want. They have also been able to accommodate me on short notice. I highly recommend Murphy's- after only two visits, they have my trust and future business.
