Muddy Boot Bar & Grill

This place got rave reviews for the pizza, so drove down on our first night in town. Locals at the bar, we sat at a table in the dining area alone. Server was also the bartender and took great care of us...pizza and beers were great...worth the short drive from Alexandria MN.

I love the pizza at this bar! So amazingly good! Crisp crust, generous toppings, lots of cheese!The wait staff are awesome and they are so attentive. We were staying in Alexandria but skipped the local places and drove out here two nights of our 4 night stay.No frills, no fancy seating. Just good food and laid back atmosphere. The sign in the woman's room kinda sets the tone

Forada, Minnesota...population 199 and home to an obscure pizza & beer joint called the Muddy Boot Bar & Grill. While the Boot did sport a 4.5 rating on Yelp, mostly on the strength of their drinks, I figured I would take a chance on their pizza to go. It is always a shock when an outsider bellies up to the bar in a town of 200 where everyone knows everyone. As I walked through the front door, every head at the bar turned as I grabbed a vacant stool at the bar to pick up my pizza. It wasn't until after they heard me tell the bartender that I'd ordered a pie to go, that the tension in the air had been broken. I grabbed a cold bottle of Grain Belt as I waited for my pizza to come out of the oven. I was now one of the guys. Our pizza was a 16" pie with 'roni, 'shrooms, onions, green peps and pineapple for a hint of sweetness. The toppings were fresh and flavorful while the crust was cooked just right. The Boot earns 4 solid stars on my tough pizza ratings scale.

Stopped here on a day trip, and discovered a great ma and pa feel! Great service and price, for sure!! Lots of character and ambiance! Many friendly locals to chat with. Teddy, the bartender was wonderful and sent us to another great destination on our day trip! Made for a wonderful mystery tour! We will be back again

Brother-in-law recommend this place and we weren't disappointed. Cheap beers and good burgers. Very clean and family friendly during supper hours.

We are spending this week as a family in a house that we are renting by Maple Lake, and the property manager recommended this place to us. We went there today and really enjoyed it! Our server was very attentive and did a great job. We all had different types of burgers, soup and tremendous onion rings! Yum. Everything was wonderful- I highly recommend it. The German burger, topped with Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and thousand island dressing was delicious!

My friend and I stopped in after car shopping in the area. Nice place, exceptionally clean. Not only was the dining area super clean, the bathrooms were too.I had a patty melt with the waffle fries and seasoned sour cream. The patty melt was great and they dice the onions which makes it much cleaner to eat. The seasoned sour cream was a little bland, I don't think I'd order that again.My friend had the 1/4 white broasted chicken with french fries. They even gave him an extra wing! My friend said the chicken was bland, I thought it just needed a little salt. I really appreciate when cooks don't over-salt their food, this lets me get the seasoning right where I like it.Service was friendly and quick, the locals were friendly as well. And the prices were great. You can't go wrong here!

Went for first time last night. I make my own handmade pizzas that are very good. Muddy pizza is better! Great chew to crust, sauce is very good, toppings are fresh, really good cheese. OK, crust is a little over soaked in middle because there's so much toppings and cheese. Physics. Will come back. Oh, and servers are very nice.
