It is becoming my Wednesday Trivia favorite spot. Host on Wednesday Trivia seems very much enjoying to have companies and makes Trivia night in very good atmosphere. Each booth sit up to 6 people comfortably.Wide range of whiskey menu (Irish, Scottish, American, Canadian, and Japanese). Nothing extraordinary in the food menu but surprisingly they offer Poutine as starter. If you don't mind smear with beef gravy over the totsn' fries with corn beef on top! It was pretty good. Fish and Chips comes with delicious tartar sauce as side (perhaps dill infused?). You can probably ask for malt and vinegar if you are not wild about tartar sauce. Servers are very friendly and chatty that makes you feel very welcomed. They also have a coin operated dart machine but not sure it's working.Trivia night starting 7 pm on Wednesdays. They also hold a Movie trivia night on Thursdays if you are moviegoers!

Standard quality bar/pub located in the Uptown neighborhood. I went on a Saturday night, it was what you'd expect. There was karaoke going on which was fun, I got to sing a song. It was pretty popular though so just be prepared it may be a wait to get to your turn. Pretty good craft beer list. I think they also had a side room for private events. Overall I had a good time, I'm glad I got to check it out.

Fun place to grab a drink and a quick bite. Service was very fast and drinks were reasonably priced. The food was a little expensive for just typical bar food, but the sandwiches there are decent. They have fun activities there throughout the week like trivia, and open mic sessions. Overall, I had a good time going here and would come back for a drink :)

Fish and chips were delicious. I'm normally not a fan of tartar sauce, but ended up really enjoying their house made sauce. The service has also been great during my multiple visits and I plan on going back soon.

First time at Morrissey's and it was a blast. Service was spot on, even with a party of ten. Our waiter was awesome as well. While taking our orders she wasn't writing anything down, which had me worried. I always take note of that when going out and there will be two outcomes from this, the waiter will just bomb and mess the entire order up or, in this case, prove her awesomeness! The Whiskey Notes:A highlight of the night was the amazing whiskey list. So happy we came during the right time of year when Morrissey received they annual allotment of just ONE bottle of Old Rip Van Winkle 10 year whiskey!! One a half ounce pour was $28 but was worth it. Even though the Old Rip Van Winkle was 107 proof you wouldn't be able to tell, it was super smooth, being aged for ten years. Side note, this whiskey is from the same distillery as the very rare Pappy Van Winkle, which is just as expensive and also very good. You can find Pappys more readily at pubs in Chicago, which has a bigger whiskey scene then Minneapolis. Another very unique whiskey was the Jameson on tap, that's right you heard me correct "whiskey on tap", crazy right?!! It was very good and had a distinct flavor to it, I'll be back to try it again. It was for $8 a ounce. One other whiskey we would like to try next time is the Jameson "Red Spot", I think aged for 15 years. Grub review:Definitely pub style food. Not upscale but not too greasy either. The chicken strips had good flavor and we ordered on the side, ranch and buffalo sauce, which is a must have for strips in my opinion. Fries were perfectly crispy too. Fish and chips were good. The fish could have used some salt and vinegar to drizzle on. One very unique dish was the curry fries. Basically they were a plate of fries with curry gravy, very delicious. The Karaoke was most entertaining, that is watching other people sing. It seemed three of the people that sang were regulars and took turns on the stage. Side bar- I wonder what they think they sound like in their own minds? haha.

We decided to come here on a Saturday night where we knew we could be seated fairly quickly and still have our own corner of the room. This was my first time and it was a good middle of the road pub, an average fish and chips dinner, good music that was all things 70s to today and later in the evening they had karaoke which was entertaining to listen to (I'm more of a minimum three-shot tequila girl before I put my request in!)Our waitress was efficient and we were served our meal fast, party of ten notwithstanding. Overall, there's other pubs in the Twin Cities I prefer, but for a local hangout, quick service, decent menu and good drinks (with Jameson Irish Whiskey on tap!) this is the place to come!

It's a bit pricey for what it is. I will also say, I'm not sure if it's something my partner and I are doing, but the service tends to be a little on the slower side. I would go again for a quick drink but not a night out with friends. St Patrick's day here was very fun though! Great live music.
