As a seasoned parks and recreation professional, I was thoroughly impressed by the Monticello (MN) Community Center during my recent visit. - taking pictures for friends who are moving to Monticello. As a versatile hub for recreation, fitness, and community gatherings, it offers a wide range of activities and facilities for all ages. Its 60,000 square foot space is truly impressive, especially considering the center serves a city of only 15,000 residents. Additionally, the city's parks along the Mississippi River provide a picturesque backdrop for outdoor activities and relaxation.

The overall center is not bad, but I'm going to specifically review the swimming pool. The water is way too cold there and difficult to get used to. Its not very spacious there, but they do have an area to swim laps. Their slide is far too dangerous and they won't even allow goggles or safety jacket for kids and immediately ducks you under. If you aren't careful, you could easily swing off the sides of the slides succumbing to a painful death. For daredevil kids with proper swimming lessons and adults it may be fine though. They have many breaks at the pool and the lifeguard aren't the most professional. Their birthday package is twice the price of the Becker Community Center's birthday package and not much different at all. Monticello Community Center Pool is overrated.

This establishment caught my attention with its average rock wall and the stabbing sensation of chlorine that delved into my unexpecting nares. However this was not the reason for my visit. I attended a wedding reception here for one of my college friends. Food smelled good, the animal crackers were delicious but the thing that made my visitation flourish with meloncholoy was when I didn't receive a god damn salad. My fellow peers received their decadent salads before our very eyes, right when I was expecting the same thing KABLAM! My fellow associate and I failed to receive this delicacy. Patio was pretty cool. Best wishes to the happy couple!

Would not recommend very snotty young life guards disrespectful confrontational and just wowed me at the level of disrespect shown very unprofessional I do believe they need lifeguards that are older and can do their job in a professional way asked and answered questions were confronted with snotty attitudes their is a difference in doing your job and playing worden community center I don't think so I am to the point if I go again I will show the picture of these two lady's ask if they are on staff and if they are we will turn around and leave I never wanna be that uncomfortable in a swim suit every again community member and mother of three I do not recommend unless they replace staff

love this facility. The walking track is great and love being able to watch some of the activities. The pool is great for my 2 yr old grandson. the zero entry is perfect. Having the hot tubs to use after a workout helps a lot especially when I over do a workout. Would recommend this facility to everyone!!

We've been members of the Monticello Community Center for about two years now and really enjoy it. It's a great place for the kids to let out some energy, and the parents to work out. The employees remember us, and greet our kids by name when they go to climb the rock wall.
