We really love this place. Great food, great setting. Really pretty grounds. Our waitress Elena was amazing. My husband was an executive chef and he said the food here is always great.

One of the WORST experiences I have had in20 years. First my party of 5 was served COLDfish. Our server dropped the cold fish and didnot return To check on us at all. We had to getanother server to get us hot fish. When ourserver finally did come back she was angry atus. We then asked to speak to a manager andthe manager came up to us angry as well. Shethen held our credit cards for another 10minutes and then came back and said wedidn't charge you, after slamming the cardson the table. They lied, they charged us. Wetried to talk to the owner but she was angryand said she didn't believe us because herserver was with her 8 years. They must breakchild labor laws because that server was atbest 10yrs old 8 years ago. We are cancellingthe charge that WE NEVER SIGNED. DONT GOTHERE THEY ARE HORRID!!!! Seriously the worst .

I was craving "steak," and asked around for THE BEST place. I got the usual responses. Then someone recommended Molitor's. He said his was is a food critic, and gave the flat-iron steak top reviews; said there was a young, and new chef leading the kitchen, who has completely renovated the menu in the past 7 months. OMG. The flat-iron steak was PERFECT! Partner had breaded walleye which exceeded his expectations. Our food was delivered by Alex (the new chef). It is obvious that Alex has a passion for preparing quality and flavorful food. The sides were equally impressive, from the fresh salads, to the amazing broccoli, to the crisp and meaty bite to the sweetie fries. Please recognize those bad reviews were more than 4 years ago. Management has put their heart and soul into this restaurant and have literally turned it around. Go and enjoy an affordable luxury!

I didn't expect to get so many giggles out of a dinner but it was a laughable experience. Firstly, it was a Saturday night and it seemed very empty. However, the bar and dining space could substitute for a warehouse as it's size is formidable. They have a very banquet hall type of feel going on. Anyway, we were a lame table right off the bat ordering three waters with lemons. (I know, I know, but it was just a water with lemon kind of night.) I think they gave us a slice of lemon? I could barely see what looked to be a transparent, tissue paper thin, thumbnail size, yellow sliver? I made a joke my pulvarizing it with my straw trying to break up some pulp for maybe an essence of citrus. Hence, the giggles started as the three of us pounded the scrap of lemon into our waters! We ordered the ham and cheese ball appetizer because it sounded like a gamble. Deep fried ham and cheese?? Yes please! Ugh, well they were grainy on the inside. The texture of moistened saw dust for real. Our waitress asked if we liked them and I described the texture and she said they were an acquired taste. "Kind of like sushi, not everybody likes them", she said. What??? I started rolling!! Then she came back and said her coworker told her, "They're supposed to be grainy because it's ham AND cheese. They are an acquired taste." What are these people on??Anyway, we also had a burger, quesadilla, and some wings. Food is definitely not the strong suit here but the excuses are! Our server was so pleasant but pretty clueless on how to handle a complaint. She charged us for the appetizer that we didn't like or eat but we didn't complain, we tipped fairly, and laughed all the way home. I'm not going to be returning because I haven't acquired my taste for Molitors but I was reminded that I haven't been out for sushi in awhile!

first time at the restaurant for Mother's Day brunch buffet. the food was amazing and oh so much variety. from breakfast food to dinner items! it was hard to choose! the staff was friendly and kept up with removing plates off our table as we went for seconds and dessert.the price for kids was a bit high as a 5 year olds don't eat $13.00 worth of food. but with saying that we'll be back! The patio wasn't open for the buffet so we'll be coming back this summer to enjoy the patio and water feature. The kids enjoyed feeding the trout which was their highlight of the day!

First, I'd say the service was excellent. Attentive, friendly server made our experience good. However, the food was "meh" to say the least. I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger, medium cooked, and it came out well done and way over cooked. The fries were over fried as well. I was disappointed in the blah menu. I feel Molitor's needs a food menu refresh REAL bad. It seems the food has lack luster appeal. Kudos to the seasonal drink menu. Ambiance was good. Music in the background and a meat raffle to play was great for an added feature. The location and beautiful surroundings can't be beat. I'm not coming back here for some time, as the food was just too darn disappointing.

Very disappointing and frustrating experience. Our party of seven waited more than an hour for our food. Multiple groups of people came in, were seated, ate and left while we waited. But more aggravating than the poor service was the owner/manager's response when we asked for an explanation. No explanation, no apologies - she was actually angry that we asked for an explanation!
