I'm not a big antique-er. I prefer the thrift store scene where I can be absolutely 100% sure I'm getting a deal. With antiques, I always end up looking at the item (a grungy, rusted metal box with a key) and looking at the price ($150) and wondering... wtf am I missing? I'm not obsessive enough to have an index in my brain of what rusted metal boxes from 1950 should cost. However, this place is solid. There's a huge selection of vendors, and unlike the madness of Mall of St. Paul down the street, it's not so much that you end up feeling like maybe the walls of knick-knacks from 1975 will collapse on top of you and you'll die in a pile of junky political pins and wrought-iron-everything. These vendors (with a couple of exceptions) arrange their things nicely and in an organized fashion that makes perusing here lovely. Plus, this is a small thing, but the lighting here is 100x better. Everything looks homey and gentle.I thought the prices in most of the spots were totally reasonable. I paid $30 for a beautiful lavender Scottish mohair shawl in incredible condition, and $45 for an antique sterling silver pin from Norway. I also appreciated how a couple of the vendors focused on antiques from Scandinavia. Given where we are in the country, that seemed like a perfect market fit, and if you're looking for gifts for someone who doesn't live in MN, they're a gold mine.

You can't judge a book by looking at the cover. I stopped in this antique mall, nice organized and clean well taken care of. The day I was there the nice ladies were handing out chocolate chip cookies and candy. If you're looking for a quite stroll down memory lane, I'd say give this place a whirl. And it's up the street from the "Antique Mall of St. Paul"Mr. Rik

My sister and I were on a quest to find antique tea cups for our mom for Mother's Day. After stopping by Drawbridge on Selby/Snelling and finding it closed (even after their noon opening time), we decided to go to the Mall of St. Paul. On our way, we noticed The Missouri Mouse. We stopped in, not expecting much, and found an awesome antique shop! The staff were super friendly and pointed us right to the teacups. We didn't have much time to browse around, but this place is stocked with antiques. I definitely want to go back when I have more time to browse.

Very disappointing! Antique store? I purchased an item questioning myself is this an antique... It was for sale at $100, oh but wait.... 20% off, what a deal or steal? So $80 something out the door, five minutes later I am in a boutique. There's the very same item at there asking price......... wait for it...... $42. I called the very reputable people at Missouri Mouse Antique store. I asked if I could return an item purchased seemingly moments before, they explained to me all sales are final! I explained the story, sorry all sales are final. I don't think that is fair and honest for a business, It could be me? I will post this and ask for feed back. I was urged to talk to the manager (Dorothy), I will update if she acts human in any way. I fine the way I was dealt with was beneath normal human behavior. Any thoughts ? Is it me? True if I didn't stop in the second place I would have never known, BUT.... I did. Also I was asked by the sales lady on the phone, "I hope this doesn't effect you returning in the future" How did our Pres. Bush say it..."fool me once, shame on -- shame on you. Fool me -- you can't get fooled again" Who would return to a group of thieves that disguise as a business?

By far the best curated but still quite reasonably priced option in the area. Very little of the piles of garage sale crap! A new favorite.

Some of the stuff in there is great - there is one collector who has a good eye and carries a lot of very nice Arts and Crafts pieces and other neat things. The rest is just OK. Unfortunately, the vibe of the place is like that of some antique stores - not very friendly, peevish, and suspicious (maybe they have a lot of shoplifters or something, but I still don't think that's an excuse). They would be smart to try to create a more welcoming space, which places like Blue Bicycle, up the street, have totally done.

My girlfriend and I found a great coffee table for an excellent deal. A woman with brown hair and glasses helping us seemed frustrated and inconvenienced because my girlfriend had changed her mind on a trunk she placed a hold on and went with the coffee table instead... (at no point did my girlfriend commit to anything and specifically said she was going to think the decision over - for what turned out to be literally 20 hours - and return to the store with me)....So we are talking 3 actual business hours that this trunk would have been unavailable to a potential customer... When my girlfriend decided on the table instead of the trunk, the woman didn't speak at all to us...she was visibly angry with us and just walked away to get the table ready for us. It was just rude. In addition, the day prior, this woman spoke unprofessionally about one of the vendor's spaces. She named the vendor and then talked about how disorganized this particular person was. It was just very unprofessional. This place has some nice stuff but I think we will be taking our business elsewhere in the future.
