The food was good. The service outstanding. If you want a margarita you won't get one here. They have been waiting for the liquor license for a few months. I hope they are able to get it. It would be great if they were successful. The ambiance was chill and the prices were affordable. The inside is beautiful.

I was so excited to try this restaurant because it's in my neighborhood and I love to support local restaurants. Right from the beginning, everything was off. The chips had a greasy funny flavor and the salsa was so bland. We both ordered enchilada platters, mine, cheese and onion, and she ordered chorizo. They did not offer ground beef, nor did they offer Asada... The plates came out, and they were not hot. The food was barely luke warm, and everything tasted terrible... the beans were the blandest pinto beans I've ever had. I make great pinto beans with great flavor. These tasted like they threw them in a pot of water and that's it. The cheese in my enchiladas wasn't even melted. The red sauce was bitter... my dining partner told me how the chorizo was odd and I took one tiny bite and spit it out. I couldn't even swallow it. I know Mexican food because I lived in New Mexico for years and I am very familiar with authentic Mexican food. This food was crap. my friend did take her leftovers home, but informed me that she threw them in the trash before she got home. Do yourself a favor and go to the other Mexican restaurants in the area. They are plentiful, and there is no need to endure what we endured.

Almost don't want to review because I want to keep this place all to myself! Such good tacos, amazing chips, and so well priced. Great service too! A regular staple in our household!

We didn't actually get a chance to try this place because we could not find it. Non-existent signage is really bad signage.

Funky space. Friendly atmosphere. Outstanding food. A slightly different take on standard Mexican cuisine. Generous portions. My favorite Mexican restaurant in Minneapolis.

Presentation was nice and food was authentic. However not enough broth in my pozole, more of a stew. Flautas that came with were the star of the show. Service was good and the ambiance was quiet on a Saturday afternoon.

I would like to start by saying that I am aware they are just starting, so I hope that in the future they grow and resolve the following issues...-Be aware it is a smaller establishment with limited seating- Wait time for our food was 1+ hour and they did not bring all the food together. We ended up cancelling one of our orders because it was taking too long. - Ordered the spaghetti with shrimp and it was too salty - Our torta did not have cheese, avocado or jalapeños as said on the menu - Quite expensive for the food quality and experience

Food was amazing, and the price is worth what you get. They are a smaller restaurant so the wait time was about the downside because you wait outside if you have a bigger party than three. Great fresh juice bar Nextdoor that's amazing so I went there to wait on an open table.

Stopped in to this brand new (1 month old) place and it is SUPER cute! Love the look and feel. We were greeted quickly and staff was very friendly. They shared some great recommendations and checked on us throughout our meal. We had the Gringo and it was HUGE! Could easily have served 2 or more. Also had the enchiladas with green sauce. Everything was fresh and hot, and enough to have leftovers to bring home. Mi Mexico Querido is a great addition to M'haha Ave. Check them out and give a little love to the new, local restaurant in town.
