I love this little mercado! Anytime I'm making a Mexican recipe, my first stop and usually my only stop, is here. Their prices are fair - think of those cellophane bags of dried Anaheim peppers or chipotle's that cost upwards of $6 at Lunds, Kowalskis, Cubs, here they are about $3. Their deli is amazing- all kinds of cheeses, pico de gallo is the best; always fresh though the level of "hot" is a bit above medium. They also have prepared carnitas, barbacoa, and if you are interested, goat (they will let you sample first!). You can also get these amazing packaged Mexican potato chips! This store also offers daily necessities and fresh produce. Oh - hot tamales and coffee are at the register. The service can be a little slow, but seriously, it beats running around town for recipe components and paying a lot more!
