Maya is now one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the entire Twin Cities metro. I absolutely love their burritos; you can customize them with a TON of options, including a dozen or so salsas and many different veggies, and their meats are all well seasoned and juicy. They also have a huge salsa bar, so I recommend getting chips to take advantage of that. There's lots of beverage options too, including agua fresca, horchata, Mexican beer, Mexican Coca Cola, etc. The inside is really adorable; they have some normal restaurant seating in the front, but then an area that feels like an outdoor party with a little hacienda next to it towards the back that's fun to eat in and great for kids. There's also a sitdown restaurant and full bar in the very back, although I have never eaten there. Despite only having street parking, I've never had trouble parking. The line moves really fast, and prices are very reasonable. It's easy to eat dairy-free here!

Get the burrito. Tacos are also available but the burritos can't be beat for the price. You'll get to choose from a ton of different toppings from barbacoa to carne asada. Veggies are all free, but avocado costs extra even though it isn't listed as extra on the menu. Seating is all indoor. Staff speaks English and Spanish fluently. The code to the restroom is printed on your receipt. The easiest parking is across the street on the side roads.

Having lived a short drive from Maya for a while now, we finally got around to trying out Maya Cuisine after a crazing for some good Mexican food. We were pleased with the reviews and offerings. I went to pick up after ordering and that's when it started not being so great. After walking in and awkwardly walking around because the signage wasn't clear on pickups/seating/etc. No less than 5 staff looked at me and said nothing. I went to a few different "wait to be served" signs and same thing. But the kicker is there were staff throughout who saw me, just didn't say anything, super awkward. I ended up going to the bar after 10 minutes to ask where to get my order but someone stopped me to ask if I needed anything. He pointed me to where to go. By then, our food was lukewarm at most and the 8 minute drive home, it was cold. My chile relleno had watery liquid pooling at the base. And the queso didn't come with chips? The queso was also very coagulated by the time we got home - much better once we warm it back up. For $38 before a tip, I expect a bit more. Anyways, the food was good BUT cold and not at its peak. Not sure if it was the time it took to actually get it? We ate it and enjoyed it, will give it another shot but hope for at least a little customer service.

I've been eating my way down Central and after seeing the reviews, I wanted to compare this to another popular place right up the street! We walked in on a whim to see if their dining room was open. It was not. As others have stated there's not a lot of signage or information regarding what times they actually serve food if you're looking for waiter service. There was quite a line for the counter, so we decided to order delivery another time.Later we ended up ordering a Torta, the Maya Burrito, and a new menu item Quesabirrias. We also got chips but they came without salsa. The chips themselves were tasty though with little pops of salt. The burrito was hefty and good, but even with the seared pepper in the center, there wasn't much flavor. The Torta was also filling, but lacked sauce. The Quesabirrias looked like they would super delicious, especially with the dip, but were also quite bland. This is just one person's opinion, and they are clearly popular! I would say they're still worth a try. Street parking, but you can order delivery through apps as well.

Amazing food and night out for the price! My fiance and I stopped in here for a late dinner and were seated in the back "bar" section. We were sat right next to another group which felt a bit close given the many other open spaces, but they left fairly quickly which quieted things down. We ordered a mango and lime margarita because they were out of the pina colada today, but both were still a good classic marg. We ordered queso fundido which came alongside the complementary chips and salsa which came prior to our entrees. I ordered the enchiladas rancheras, while my fiancé ordered the burrito. Hers came with a side of queso which was a nice addition. Overall the food was very good for the price and we both left with enough for lunch tomorrow.

We used to DoorDash Maya at least once a week but we stopped after they messed our order up several times. After a long break, we decided to give them another chance, and sadly they've messed up our order the last 3 times in a row. Good food but terrible service and they don't seem capable of preparing an order accurately.

food the service in the ambience sucked. I'll never go there again. They used to have the best chimichangas, but they are so rude.

The food here is so good! In particular, the chili relleno is transcendent. Not a heavy stomach bomb like so many, but a light, eggy batter surrounding the pepper and the perfect amount of melted cheese. I would eat this every day.
