we got my now wifes engagement ring here. we were looking for a specific brand and they just so happened to carry it. having never even looked at engagement rings in person yet this experience was great and fun. they were super responsive via email when my wife was asking questions before we went in. when we did finally go in they remembered her and were ready to go with the items we were looking for. they didnt push us to spend above what we wanted or make us change our mind. they made us feel like the decisions we were making were the right ones because they were the ones we wanted to make.they also answered all our questions and follow up questions that we had when we got the ring. they overall made the experience one we will always look back on and have great memories of. the only reason i wouldnt give them a 5 star rating is the box we got with the ring wasnt exactly what we would have liked. it didnt feel as special as we thought we would have got and we werent the biggest fan of the chocolate brown box for the engagement ring. wished we could have had some say in that. other than that though i wouldnt hesitate to go back here and make another purchase.

I've been eyeing these stackable rings for a while. I'll go in, try them on, gaze at them lovingly, and then take them off. It's this dance I do. Someday, I might even buy them. Max's is a cute little jewelry/gift store in the Excelsior Grand area. As I live near there, I find myself popping in occasionally. I've purchased chocolates for friends and my mom bought a lovely glass ornament one year. It doesn't have "something for everyone" as say, a Bibelot or Corazon, but there are lots of lovely pieces that are sure to brighten everyone's day.

Amazing! Beautiful pieces. Best fine jewelry store in the Twin Cities. Friendly staff. Delicious Chocolate too! If you attend the American Craft Council show - you will love this store. They have many artists from the ACC.

i think that sarah p's 3 star review is right on.located in the tony excelsior and grand complex, Max's offers a kind of schizophrenic variety of gifts that run the gamut from chocolates and caramels, to five dollar greeting cards, to forty dollar candles and hundred dollar gemstone necklaces. One VERY cool thing about Max's; however, is their reward program. When you sign up, 10% of every purchase is stored in an account for you to redeem at any time and at any amount. Pretty cool!

I found Max's by accident after enjoying a cappuccino down the street. The first time I shopped, I felt as if I were in a museum and I enjoyed the variety of artists on display in the store. The second time I walked in, I went for a trunk show and eagerly purchased a chain and two charms. After this first purchase, I was hooked! One of the reasons is that when you buy jewelry, you receive 10% of that purchase as points toward your next purchase. In dollars, that means that for every hundred dollars spent, you earn 10 dollars toward the next bobble. Of course, if the jewelry wasn't so alluring, the points wouldn't matter. If you want some original, interesting and beautiful jewelry, go to Max's! This is a "gem" of a store. And to top it off, the staff is great, nice but not pushy. And, to top it off, you can taste the candy, which is for sale, of course!
