The Branding Iron
The Cowboy Burger
Wide open with vintage decor.
Small and expensive portions. Look at the size of the fish compared to my fork.
Nice pour on this Lonely Blonde Ale!
the most unsexy and unappealing dish ever.

I went there right after lunch rush time, so it wasn't too busy at all.Which just made for better service. I thought the bartender and server were real nice.Had the prime rib sandwich.it was soo good, i loved it. The fries were great too. my friend had the sweet potato fries, and i have to say, this is the place with the best ones i've tried. along with my regular fries. And they are definitely the place with my favorite sandwich :)I agree with the post from Marlene before mine. I totally recommend it too.

I'm looking for something to eat tonight and noticed the low star rating for this place. So I wanted to share my experiences at this restaurant; we love mavericks. We dine here pretty often. Sometimes the servers aren't amazing but they are always nice, and seem to be doing their best. Most times we get GREAT service. The food is really good in my opinion, we always get the egg roll appetizer because it's so good. As introverts this place is awesome, most of the time it's quiet and a peaceful atmosphere (this could be because we don't go too late at night when the bar gets filled up, but even when the bar is packed it's still a really nice place to go) Before taking this place off of your list because of the reviews I'd recommend giving it a try.

This place is just super mid. Only went because it was in the hotel and was easy. Ordered a black & bleu salad. Didn't like how much work I had to do to the wedges to cut it up. Steak was cooked more medium than medium rare but I'd eat it. Bread was kinda hard. Dressing was good to eat with. Ordered a chocolate flourless torte for dessert. Really small and seemed to have more whipping cream than actual torte. Service was pretty mediocre as well. If you're in the hotel, Decent place to eat, but I wouldn't come here if I wasn't staying in the hotel.

Went to have dinner here with a group of 10. The place is not packed, not busy at all. We got seated right away which is great. But service is bad. It took awhile for everything, taking orders, getting drinks, even food coming in. Food is does not look appetizing. Steak is dry on the Fettuccine. The pasta for me is alright, if you like spicy, this is for you. Cannot comment on the Branding Iron since my husband ate it and just posting the picture here for reference. I got a blood orange margarita (not pictured), and it's not good either since all I tasted is the sugary syrup. Getting the check and payment is quick which annoyed me.

Absolute BOSS service. These guys are a class act. Although the fish are replicas, they have wonderful cocktails. They love muddling fruit. Water is ice cold. Cheers friends.

Food was okay, not cooked as requested.Service was mediocre at best, waited well over an hour for our food after ordering. The ambiance was meh, we were put in the hotel section of the restaurant, which was fine, but we felt neglected and were not the only ones having the same issues as well with wait times.

My wife and I came here for our anniversary dinner without doing much research beforehand. We chose this place because we hadn't been here before and it was local. What we liked:I called shortly after they opened and made a reservation, the person that answered the phone was eager and friendly. When we arrived We sat down and got service quickly. (Drinks and appetizers)The appetizers were pretty good. Brisket nachos and mooshoo egg rollsOur servers were friendly and attentive throughout the whole meal.Dislikes: The "brisket" looked very much like a precooked pulled pork. And they aren't a smoke house so It makes me wonder when the chef comes in to slow cook the "brisket"It's more of a bar house rather than a steak house, as far as ambiance goes. There are tv's on the wall, not really fitting of a steak house. My wife got a "brisket" philly sandwich, it was mediocre. Bar food.I ordered the ribeye steak, it came with cheesy potatoes(really good) and a chicken noodle soup. The soup was consistent with canned soup. And the chicken looked pan seared and then roughly chopped, and thrown into the soup just before serving. I ate two spoons of it, and set it aside. The worst part was my steak. No flavor in that $25 steak. It was cooked perfectly medium, however. But it tasted like it had been frozen for a while. I didn't finish it, gave it to my dog. She loved it. The whole dinner was just under $80 plus tip. Just take that into consideration when thinking about coming here.Over all, service was quick and friendly, well priced appetizers that we would come back and try again, but no entrees for us.

We went to Mavericks on New Year's Eve. Two of the 4 men in our group ordered the special, ribeye medium rare. They were so rare that they could not eat them. We voiced our concerns to the waitress. She said the manager might stop over. The manager did not. She knew we were dissatisfied and she never checked back again until she cleared our plates. When she cleared the plates, she literally said "moo" and then said she didn't like her steak like that either. She also told us we could take it home and finish cooking it??? We didn't say anything as we didn't think we should need to, she should have seen how incredibly rare the steaks were and taken care of it, either taking them back to cook or giving a discount. One of our ladies had the salmon with a baked potato. The salmon was so dry she was glad she had ordered the Jack Daniel's sauce. Her baked potato was so overcooked and dry, she could not even cut it. Maverick's is a fairly high end steakhouse. We expected well cooked steaks. We were disappointed in the food quality and the service. We expected a lot more.

NEVER AGAIN! Food came out, and the first meal, the baked potatoe, was rock hard. Second meal sweet potatoe fries were cold. The third meal chicken looked good but was awful. Had a burnt taste to it, and mashed potatoes were cold. Waitress never came to see how our meals were. Then, when we complained, she had the nerve to argue with us. She said she put her finger in the mashed potatoes, and they were warm. She just wanted to start something. I will just about any kind of potatoe, so if I couldn't eat them, something is wrong. Wanted to make me new food as we were ready to leave. Why in the world would we want more food that can not be prepared correctly. Plus, who knows what they would have done to it. Thanks for ruining dinner and end up going home and cooking. They were not even that busy. Horrible staff and awful food! NEVER EVER AGAIN!

Not sure why all the bad reviews. We were here for the weekend and staying in the hotel. Had the crispy chicken salad which was very good and my husband had the Chislic which was rather dry, but what can you expect from small pieces of beef. Anyway, had lunch the next day with a french dip that was wonderful and juicy, lots of flavor. Tonight we went down for a drink and appetizers. The minnesota roll was very big and we couldn't finish it all. Tasty but needed more than the little bit of soy and wasabi that they give you and my husband got the egg roll, not bad but a little dry, the plum sauce that you dip it in was very good. The service was good and the server very nice.
