We celebrated our anniversary here and to say it was an amazing experience would be an understatement. This place absolutely delivers on every level. First off, the interior is STUNNING--elegant, cozy, and chic. It's also in a prime location, with plenty of bars and dessert spots nearby to continue your evening. From the moment we walked in, the hostesses were so friendly and welcoming, immediately setting the tone for an amazing experience. Because it was our anniversary, they treated us to complimentary champagne, a thoughtful touch that started our meal on a high note. The bread service was incredible--warm, plentiful, and quickly replenished. They don't hold back on the bread, and we loved every bite. For appetizers, the frog legs were outstanding--crispy and perfectly cooked, but the real standout for us was the tomato and onion pipérade. It was incredibly warm and flavorful. As for mains, the short ribs were solid: tender and fall-apart good, though I wished for just a bit more flavor and more vegetables to balance the dish. I'd suggest exploring other menu options when you visit, especially because everything sounded incredible. To complement our amazing food, we also had wonderful drinks. My old fashioned was perfectly crafted, and we were treated to samples of Natterjack whiskey since they were getting diners' feedback on if they should bring it in-house, which they absolutely should!Maison Margaux made our anniversary so special with their thoughtful service, beautiful space, and delicious food. It's a must-visit for a memorable night out in the North Loop!

Maison Margaux offers a beautifully designed space with an upscale yet inviting atmosphere. We opted for valet parking, which was convenient given the location. We started with the bouillabaisse, which had a rich, well-balanced broth and perfectly cooked seafood. The French onion soup, however, leaned too sweet for our liking, which threw off the traditional savory depth we were expecting. For entrées, the Pomme Napoleon was a standout side, beautifully layered and flavorful. The Grand Wagyu Steak au Poivre was cooked to perfection with a bold peppercorn sauce, and the short ribs were fall-apart tender with deep, comforting flavors.Dessert was a highlight--both the crème brûlée and the apple bread slice with ice cream were excellent, offering just the right amount of sweetness to end the meal on a high note.Service was attentive, and we especially appreciated how the staff was careful and accommodating when it came to allergies, ensuring everything was prepared safely. The attention to detail added to the overall experience.A few minor tweaks (like balancing the onion soup's sweetness) would make this a five-star experience, but overall, Maison Margaux is a solid choice for a refined French dining experience in Minneapolis.Would definitely return!

On a passé une tres belle soirée chez Maison Margaux !We actually came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were treated so kindly. Ordered an old fashioned to start (my go to) and then proceeded to have wine with dinner. At the end of our meal, we received complimentary whiskey tastings as a gift for our anniversary-- which was super nice of the staff. For dinner we got a few apps to split: tomato and onion piperade on sourdough, chicken, and pommes aligot. All of it was delicious. The restaurant itself was beautiful, too, with blue marble all around. (Felt like we were almost in a couples "special night out" kind of side room).

I had a great time dining at the downstairs bar in Maison Margaux. It is a lovely space, with the archetypical North Loop exposed wooden beams, stonewalls etc, but the Fhimma group upped its ante with their version of a Moulin Rouge effect. The large crowd was enjoying the space. Laughter rang out throughout the room. We had dined at Maison Margaux when it first opened, and they were feeling their way. Their efforts have taken hold and now MM has its own identity, the menu more interesting this time around. I enjoyed my salmon tartare and swordfish Espadon immensely. It was the thickest cut of swordfish I have ever seen. My wife, pickier about food, liked her Pistou Soup, but her lobster pie was mushy, with no texture, and had only a few pieces of homard. Our two fruit tarts for dessert were tasty.I enjoyed the gestalt of Maison Margaux, and the managing staff stopped by to ask about our well-being. I loved that. The place was jumping at 10:00 PM, and the party was enjoyed by all. MM isn't cheap. Our bill before tip was over 225.00 with two glasses of wine and two cocktails. I felt it was money well spent. It was a crappy day, and I left Maison Margaux with a smile. That's worth a thousand bucks.

Good French food, good choices for vegans, and a full bar! Service was fast, friendly, and gave us enough space to talk without rushing us out the door. The place is quite contemporary and has a different vibe at the basement (just check it out if you're dining on the main floor). Certainly a place worth trying at least once if not for the French food, at least the great cocktail creations! We celebrated a birthday and the singer was awesome! Seems he's from the local opera.

We had dinner reservations here the night before our big meeting to get us ready for the big day. We all partook in some cocktails because restaurants like this one ha the best cocktail menu. I ordered a gin based cocktail that sounded delicious and it was just that, delicious. We ordered the mussels and the cheese flan as our appetizers and were eager to get our main dishes. The table ordered steak, seafood stew, the pork and the fish for dinner. My seafood stew was absolutely amazing. The flavor was perfect and the cook was stunning. We saw the owner walking around the tables to check to make sure everyone had an amazing experience and I love to see that. Great dinner spot and a must try!

Once you find parking, this is an awesome experience! The ambiance is just right--a little bit of old world, mixed with some modern architectural style, plus some soft lighting. Our server matched, too, with his zippy demeanor.I love scallops, and these had a crisp buttery crust that completed the scallop beautifully. For the main course, I tried the Le Grand Toast. They meant it when they said the eggs are creamy! The salty roe provided a nice tang, and I stripped my herbs and sprinkled them all over.Oh, and dessert was amazing, too! The chocolate Napoleon made my sweet tooth smile.

Follow my foodie adventures on IG @justtwobitezAmbience: This spacious restaurant packs a lot of flair! Though parking can be a hassle in this area, they offer valet ($17!). The decor is airy, light and welcoming. From gorgeous upholstered chairs to an amazing downstairs space, the whole restaurant is insta worthy. Service: Our server was excellent! We were chatting and catching up and he gave us time to look over the menu without being overbearing. He also explained the menu and answer our questions. We went with his recommendations. The goods: For cocktails we had the ARC DE TRIOMPHE (smoked old fashioned) and ÎLE DE FEU (mezcal cocktail), both were good. Though the old fashioned was a bit sweet. We had the cauliflower soufflé to start, it was excellent! For entrees we shared the lobster pot pie and the seafood stew. The pot pie was the star of the show. The seafood stew was bland. We did see the Dover sole being served table side, it looked amazing. Definitely getting that next time. Following dinner we sat at the bar (late night happy hour 8-10) and opted for the create a cocktail option. The bartender was nice enough to swap out a drink as we didn't like it. All in all we would definitely go back.

Poor service, food was okay.Came here for a celebration and was pretty disappointed. We couldn't order drinks for at least 30 minutes after sitting down. Our food wasn't ordered for probably another hour. It was frustrating because our server was no where in sight. Also felt like our party was being treated differently then others, as we say their food come and go while we waited. The food itself was pretty good, but I wasn't impressed, especially for the price. The best thing was the oysters.I'd like to give it another try, just a little hesitant. Check it out for yourself!

I've been wanting to try this place since it opened and finally got the opportunity to! Valet is available which is nice because parking can be tough in that area. It cost $17 and they take card and cash for valet. The restaurant itself is BEAUTIFUL. It's gorgeous inside and feels very romantic. The service was wonderful. Our server - I wish I could remember his name, maybe Patrick? - was the perfect server. He was helpful, kind, funny and patient. He did an exceptional job recommending items to us based on our preferences. The food itself was so so good. I ordered the rack of lamb and my friend had the halibut. Both were amazing. Couldn't have been better if we tried. We also had the chocolate soufflé and it was decadent and delicious. Highly recommend. TLDR; go. It's worth it!
