We came by on a Sunday in late October, probably the last weekend of good weather for the year. Fall colors were at peak on the drive to the cidery, and the orchard looked beautiful as well. We found the place to be busy but not cram-packed; there was seating indoors and out for people to enjoy their drinks. We had only one person ahead of us in line, so the ordering process went fast. We ordered a cider flight, which included four drinks; at this point in the season, they had five to choose from. We also ordered some cookies and little apple strudels from the bakery case in the adjoining room, which also had different apple bags available for purchase. Several of the apples had a samples available, kept under a dome to keep away the fruit flies that were swirling around. The ciders and pastries were tasty. I browsed the shop afterward. This would be a good place to gift shop. They had jams and jellies, home decorative items that kept to a wine theme, and of course, their ciders and wines.

Family friendly & very hospitable owners. The honey crisp cider was our favorite. Great spot to sit under shade and enjoy a beverage.

My mom and I were visiting Pepin, WI last weekend and drove through the little town of Maiden Rock. I guess by default this Cidery/Winery is technically in Stockholm by maps. I feel like i've been to a ton of breweries but yet I don't drink beer anymore since I gave up gluten. It's nice to have an option that actually includes me. When we came in the sweet lady and her old pup Rocky gave us the run down about ciders, how they work, and whats best to order.... We grabbed a flight of 2 ciders/ 1 mead/ 1 wine. From left to right in the picture of the flight:Honey crisp cider- sweet, crisp, would be a great first drink.Red Hawk cider- Wowza. This one stole the show, it was a spiced cider, sweet but not too sweet, needless to say we took a case of this back to H-Town. I WILL be looking for it in specs. Blueberry Mead- Whoa, not a true fan of mead, as I tried the blueberry and the raspberry both and truly didn't love the distinctness. It was sweet like the honey that ferments it but sour in a way. I think this was more of a personal preference thing. Syrah- The syrah was quite good and in my opinion a good pairing with the other three things because it has a quite dry and robust taste. It's probably different than any other Syrah i've ever had but it was tasty. We walked out the gazebo but there were a ton of gnats (seasonal), so we decided to stay close to the barn. Then we went into a corn Maze at the end. We had a blast together and would love to order from their website someday!

We left our crew of kids outside (dont worry, the big one is a certified baby sitter and the middle one is incredibly responsible and the little one isnt that little anymore) They climbed on some haystacks and swung on a zipline. Delightful! The two adults in our mini van of fun shared our six complimentary tastings. Fun to taste five ciders back to back! Yum! Some bitter, some sweet. Extra samples are just $1. Delightful! At 4:00 on a beautiful Saturday, it was a bit crowded. We waiting very briefly for a spot of the tasting bar. There were all sorts of people, hipsters with their babies, hipsters with their parents. One of my pastors. Oh hi!

Really wonderful spot! We were on a drive and stopped after seeing some signage and were so pleasantly surprised with how great the cider and wine were, as well as the beautiful location and really fun and helpful staff! We started with a flight so we could sample a couple of the ciders and wines. The Honeycrisp Hard Cider was so good we had to get a growler to go! The crabby cider was also really good. Sometimes local ciders and wine are a bit sweet for our taste, but there were really tart and some quite dry, like a classic English cider. Very good! The woman working was kind and friendly, and had some great recommendations, and the small gifts and such they have for sale were very cute. We will recommend this spot to friends in the area, and already plan to return again soon. (extra bonus points for requiring customers to wear a mask inside the tap room/gift area, we appreciate the efforts to keep staff and guests healthy!)

Stopped here as one of the wineries on the Great River Wine Trail. 3 of us travelling. Nice young lady waited on us. We were expecting 3 free samples with a charge of $1 for each after that, as stated on their website. Sat on their patio with our 4 samples, and then went in to shop in their gift shop and check out. Imagine our dismay when we checked out and were charged $54 for the 3 tastings! When we disputed the amount, she showed us the sign behind her stating the cost. We hadn't noticed the sign when we arrived and definitely was expecting them to honor the website since it still TODAY says 3 free samples..... never ever will I get roped into anything like that again. $18 for a sampling is ridiculous unless you're in Napa/Sonoma! I could buy a BOTTLE for that price. You lost my business.
