My 2 friends and I had a reservation for 3, for 7:15pm on a cold Friday night. We were seated on the back wall by the kitchen and I had a lovely view of the restaurant while sitting on the nice comfy bench! When I tell you there wasn't a single thing we ate that we didn't like - I mean it! We started off with the Guacamole Mixto and the Corn Esquites. You can tell their chips are homemade with love. So crispy, perfect amount of salt and perfect vessel for the creamy guac and corn! I am still dreaming about the Corn Esquites and the zip of lime it had amongst the creaminess. Moving on, I had the Tempura Shrimp Taco and the Smoked Mushroom Taco with the Fried Yuca as a side. The Tempura Shrimp Taco was a fan favorite! I liked the Smoked Mushroom Taco, but it wasn't anything unique to me after tasting it. The real star of the show was the Fried Yuca. Like steak fries, they are thicker and fried to a crisp. What really stood out to me was the chimichurri that was drenched on top of the sticks. It was SO good with just the chimichurri alone, the mayo wasn't even needed to dip them into! To finish the food, we ended with the Tres Leches which had a hint of espresso flavor. If you served it to me and didn't tell me what it was, I would have thought I was eating tiramisu due to the sponginess of the cake, the cream on top, and the coffee flavor. Either way, it was still delicious! Just be prepared to taste that coffee flavor. Parking wasn't too bad as they have a dedicated lot they share with 6Smith. They had valet as an option for $10. Can't wait to bring more friends to this delicious Wayzata restaurant!

Didn't know how to make a manhattan?!Friends and I showed up to the bar for a few drinks and I quickly ordered a Paloma. My friend asked for a whiskey menu, as we looked through I recommended just ordering a manhattan.... This is where the restaurant failed. They brought out the manhattan in a wine looking glass and said it's "it's a manhattan wr won't charge you though" it was filled with red wine, whiskey and what taste like orange liquor... with the amount of red wine nothing was recognizable. I can't believe a bar charging the prices they do, can't make a suitable manhattan... they act fancy apparently the staff isn't up to par

The food was DELICIOUS! It was nice to make a stop here for restaurant week, the menu options were amazing and we really enjoyed each one. I'd say, the salmon had an interesting flavoring combination that I'm not used to but still would suggest for people to try. Personal favorite was the scallops and the dessert. Service was quick and always sharp on checking in. Atmosphere was calming with the lake view next door, and love the music! oysters were tad pricey so i'd suggest to skip on it

Macanda is quite a distance from the city, but it's definitely worth the drive. There's a parking lot, although it fills up quickly. If you prefer not to deal with parking, valet service is available. The setting is absolutely gorgeous, creating a vibe that feels like you're in Mexico, with plenty of plants and dim lighting. Our server, Jack, was fantastic and made our evening feel special. The food was delicious; everything we ordered was great. Once again, it's worth the drive!

I brought a friend here to celebrate her birthday. I was looking for an upscale place in this location. I am glad to report we had a great time here. I made our reservations during golden hour so we can have the sun set and requested for us to sit in the four seasons porch or sun room. PARKINGYou'll find a large parking lot you can park at. I was able to find available spots. You'll enter through doors of 6Smith and take a left. The restaurant is down the hall. FOOD (What we really want to know, right?)Let's just say we both liked all the flavors and taste. It was really quality food, at least the ones we tried! It is more small plates so plan accordingly. We went during Restaurant Week and I went for their restaurant deal. I would highly recommend the guac (YUM!) and scallops. My friend had the shrimp taco and she loved it. The corn tortilla did not break on her at all. The only thing I wouldn't order again is the pistachio cocktail. While I'm a fan of pistachio is was too strong for my liking. AESTHETICSLike most reviews, this restaurant gives Arizona vibes. Immediately you get blown away with the plants and boho style. While boho isn't my personal favorite, I enjoyed being in the space. Also, this restaurant is HUGE! So many seating types. You'll have a good time! They also have a record bar. So awesome!

It was a lovely autumn evening, perfect for a double date with my wife, daughter, and son-in-law. We had been eagerly anticipating our visit to Macanda, a restaurant known for its elevated Mexican cuisine. We are huge fans of fish tacos, empanadas, tostadas, and more. The ambiance was serene, reminiscent of a desert oasis, with beautiful lighting that set the stage for an exceptional dining experience. Our server, Emily, was delightful--always smiling and well-versed in the menu selections.Since it was restaurant week, we knew they would be putting their best foot forward, so we decided to sample a variety of appetizers. We kicked things off with guacamole and chips, followed by empanadas. Each dish was bursting with flavor, making every bite a delight. For our main courses, I opted for the chili rellenos, while my daughter chose the salmon, and my wife and son-in-law went for the enchiladas. The chili rellenos were fantastic, featuring sweet poblano peppers stuffed with savory cheese filling. The salmon was cooked to perfection, and while the enchiladas were decent, I've certainly had better. Still, they were flavorful and tasted fresh, not like they had been sitting around for hours. To top off our meal, we indulged in shortcake topped with fresh strawberries and house-made gelato. Both desserts were absolutely exquisite, especially the gelato--I could have eaten more!Overall, our experience at Macanda was impressive. We'll definitely be back soon!

Not your typical Mexican place. It caters to more fine dinning audience. Portions are decent and prices are high. But worth it! We got the shrimp quesadilla, so unique and tasty. The crispy tortillas and well marinated shrimp come together. Size is big so not the easiest to eat. We also got the chicken from the section Grill from the plate, the quality was pretty good, it was well cooked and went well with the chimichurri dip.The service was decent, we sat in their heated and covered patio. The interior gives tulum vibes and not many places like this in Mn! I'll be returning

The vibe of this place is so fun and cool! We had a private room for a corporate dinner. Bartenders were awesome-- drinks were delicious, especially the espresso martini. Food is more of a fusion vibe, so not truly "Mexican," but amazing regardless. Food tasted fresh and had great flavors.

Food has been very yummy. Drinks have been hit or miss. I did enjoy the espresso martini the last time I was there. The environment is a fun place later in the night as there is the little "speak easy" room. The windows/walls open out to the main space but can also close when it is still the dinner time folks. The servers have been a mix of great and so-so!

A ways out from the cities is this beautiful spot called Macanda. We were lucky to have Jack, the bartender, as our server, who brought the energy and vibes. I ordered the Paloma which was by far the best one I've had, with a great blend of sweet and tasteful. All the food was a hit, but the Bajas tacos had me wanting to order more. Although super snowy today, the restaurant was cozy. Definitely can see it being a bigger vibe during the summer as it sits by a lake.
