Wonderful theatre here! Great box office staff (we bought tickets this time since the performance was in high demand) but have done rush tickets before and the box office staff was wonderful. This is the old movie theater that still has a lot of life to it! The productions are amazing and transporting! Concessions available before and at intermission (including beer, wine, pop, coffee, candy, and fresh popcorn)-which they allow you to take into the theater to enjoy.

Wonderful venue in downtown Anoka on Main Street (it used to be the movie theater). We totally enjoyed Miss Bennet Christmas at Pemberley (using rush tickets $20). Box office/ushers/concessions staff were all top notch-thank you! The actors were superb (kinda felt like Guthrie without the hassles). Parking was excellent-there is a lot on the east side of the theater. There is a Live at Lyric Arts Concert Series offered on various Wednesday evenings (might have to check out Minnesota Martin Zellar concert in May).

Wonderful local theater with some pretty phenomenal actors. The theater is pretty small, maybe 150 seats total. The actors do a little audience participation so if that isn't your thing avoid the front rows. The show we saw was Always...Patsy Cline. The young lady who played Patsy had an amazing voice, the only other actress in the show was absolutely hilarious. Great night out!

Lyric Arts is a suburban gem. I have been to four shows here and each time it has been full of theater-loving people and the shows have been entertaining. I have known several people who have been involved as artists as they have lots of opportunities for involvement. The building is a re-renovated movie theater and it is right on Mainstreet, which is an adorable old-fashioned street lined with shops and restaurants. This is a wholesome and fun night out. Although, I think they have a wine bar.....hehehe. Enjoy!

Went day after Thanksgiving to see A Christmas Story with family. The theatre is nice and cozy with comfortable seats. The cast was outstanding, even the young actors were polished and fun to watch. Will return for future shows.

We see almost every production at Lyric Arts because they are "That Good!" Such amazing talent and productions that come out of this theater. Ticket prices are very affordable, as well as the free parking is an added bonus. Every time I see a production here, I'm blown away. I love too they have a wine bar and concessions that you can bring into the theater with you! Highly recommend seeing a production here! We love Lyric Arts!

This is a great, intimate theater for a small town. I came for the opening night of the Explorer's Club and our seats were almost on the stage. It looks like they put on a lot of well known productions, including Rent, Driving Miss Daisy, To Kill a Mockingbird, etc. if I remember correctly, you get a discount on tickets if you have a MPR card. Check their website for more details. The volunteers were quite friendly and helpful. The production itself was pretty good. The physical comedy was great, but the timing of some the jokes was a bit off. I would definitely give them another shot!

A wonderful, community theater in downtown Anoka. We've gone many times of the years and have not been disappointed. There isn't a bad seat in the house, so you really can't go wrong sitting anywhere. Ticket prices are reasonable. At intermission, you can get popcorn (reminiscent of the location's history as a movie theater?), soda and candy. Or, step over to the wine bar for a limited, but adequate selection.

Absolutely love this place. Very reasonable seat prices, usually great shows (definitely see their main well known shows, the side/little well known can be pretty hit or miss without a lot of wine or sneaking some alcohol in..). Rent was one of my favorites they put on...just as good as Broadway (and yes I know that's a big claim but hated it on Broadway when I saw but loved in this smaller format). Such a great place. Great Christmas shows too. I would've been a member if I stayed in minneapolis. I heart you lyric arts! Book well in advance to get great seats. It's worth it and you are literally right on the stage and it's like they put on the show just for you! Awesome.

Amazing little place in the heart of downtown Anoka. One of the best little community theaters around. My husband grew up doing theater there and it will always have a special place in his heart. Run by some great people, it is a wonderful place to see a show or also get yourself (or kids!) involved in theater :)
